A terminally-ill five-year-old has died just days after getting her dying wish of 'marrying' her best friend.
Eileidh Paterson had been battling neuroblastoma since she was just two - and on Saturday, her mother took to Facebook to confirm she had passed on.
After being told her condition was terminal, the youngster made a bucket list of things she wanted to do - and placed marrying her best friend, six-year-old Harrison Grier, firmly at the top.
She got her wish when they were declared "best friends forever" at a special ceremony on June 18.
Her mother Gail, 41, said an ultrasound scan had revealed on Thursday that Eileidh's liver was enlarged and "full" of neuroblastoma.
This was the most aggressive she has ever had as it grew extremely rapidly. She took her last breath surrounded by her family and cuddled up with blankie.
She won the hearts of everyone who met her and will be sorely missed.

At the 'wedding' ceremony, friends and family gathered in a meeting room at the AECC in Aberdeen as the children held hands and exchanged necklaces, surrounded by people dressed as superheroes and princesses.
Eileidh was escorted into the room by her older brother, Callum, to 'When You Wish Upon a Star' from Disney film Pinocchio.
Unfortunately, Eileidh was unable to complete many of the other items on her list - including being a zookeeper for a day, visiting a water park, and playing on the beach.
A fundraising page outlining Eileidh's fight on behalf of Solving Kids' Cancer has now reached more than £112,000.
