Real raid data shows massive population decline

    Legion:

    Tier 20 - 196 guilds https://www.wowprogress.com/pve/eu/c...ed-tarren-mill

    Tier 19 - 571 guilds https://www.wowprogress.com/pve/eu/c.../rating.tier19

    WoD:

    Tier 18 - 350 guilds https://www.wowprogress.com/pve/eu/c.../rating.tier18

    Tier 17 - 514 guilds https://www.wowprogress.com/pve/eu/c.../rating.tier17

Legion started with more players and ended up with less than WoD. Not entirely unexpected but still a disappointing result. Other realms have had it even worse, some suffering as much as 3x population decline.

You're comparing a tier that's been out 2 weeks to one that was out a year?

    Ok.

    That's the joke.
They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.

You realize t17-19 have had months and month of time for many guilds to clear. While the current tier hasn't?

not sure if you are trying to be a troll or just clickbait material, but comparing a raid tier that is two weeks old to other raid tiers that have lasted way longer is not really proper data.

    fail development

Oh yes, tell me more about all those people who aren't raiding currently but will suddenly get together months later to clear normal? Rule of thumb is if new raid coming out isn't enough to get you hyped and playing this tier, you won't play this tier.

P.S. the number of guilds decreases as the raid tier drags on, not increases.

Nothing surprising here. WoD broke the spine of the game's capability to attract new players and get them to stay. Final death of crafting and further punishment of alts doesn't help either.

less players = more lewt for me. I'm cool with it

An example of how to not use data.

Add to that: the first two weeks of ToS coincides with peak vacation time in the northern hemisphere, i.e. the majority of WoW players. Even Australia, the remainder of players, are on winter break, which is also a vacation period. Irrelevant comparison is irrelevant.

So you think people don't go back and clear content after they overgear it?

How about just admit you don't know how to use the data you are trying to use.

I wasn't raiding in WoD. I am raiding in Legion. I was around for both.

My anecdotal evidence is every bit as useless as yours.

Unless I am reading it wrong, I clicked the wowprogress logo, and then went back into the t20 rankings and count 1604 guilds with mythic progression?

Have I entirely missed the point? The links show the listings for "EU-Connected Tarren Mill Realm Ranking"

Simplified version for you: out of 571 guilds that raided T19, only 196 made it to T20

I don't even like wow anymore but I still think this is retarded. Come back when you have proper evidence. ToS came out two weeks ago. Nighthold came out in January. That's six months.

Stop. Just stop. You have no fucking clue how the data you're using even works, please stop trying to prove a point with stuff you don't understand.

You actually show a population increase

Less guilds doesnt mean less players in the game. Also non-mythic guilds have flexible rosters as you dont need fixed amounts of players.
