Because that is something they already said is coming after legion(a Q&A can't remember which one so I can't link source), and a stat squish wouldn't be announced as a feature(just imagine: Major Feature: You now deal 95% less damage!.)

I will just say, Content Creators & Websites (Community Sites or Game Journalism) do get heads up on things, So thinking they don't know anything is just silly. Now they may not know until Friday Morning. But will know before the general public.

Sure, but it is a simptom of a several problems.

1. There are no legit leaks

2. So much time has past that people got bored of posting fake leaks

3. There is so little to do in game that people hang out here instead of doing stuff (Beside the daily does of soup).

The devs on twitter hinted leaking legion. A question was asked: "What color is the next expansion?" the dev replied: "Blue and Yellow." It went over our heads and made us think South Seas when we never thought of Blue + Yellow = Green

Sure, but it is a simptom of a several problems.

1. There are no legit leaks

2. So much time has past that people got bored of posting fake leaks

3. There is so little to do in game that people hang out here instead of doing stuff (Beside the daily does of soup).

We had some halfway decent leaks a few weeks ago.

But yeah this has been going on since before Gamescom, thanks to Legion being revealed there. We have such a narrow understanding of what IS coming, that we've run out of ways to fake it.

Also doesn't help that basically leaking has been taken over by really bad trolls.
