Level 101 characters "speed running" dungeons - what is this?

Can somebody explain this to me? While doing dungeons with my alts I encountered this three times, level 101 characters with 850+ epic equipment rushing trough dungeons, doing 1-3 million DPS, running super fast, jumping around and soloing an entire dungeon within 5 minutes.

Is this some kind of cheating? Or some option they implemented and I missed? I am really confused.

I don't know how, but sounds like some players speedrunning their fifth alt, probably wearing heirlooms and the legendary item.

...Or simply someone trying to finish the dungeon as soon as possible to go home and catch their wife cheating. Motivations may vary, but we must discover the method.

Scaling + heirlooms + legendberries = selling speed levelling runs for mega gold.

Basically they lock xp, farm up AP and and legendaries, add BOE stuff, and wreck face for profit.

101 twinks. They take advantage of Legion's scaling and lock their XP to farm the world and sell leveling runs to 100-109 characters.

I sometimes I sell these runs on my twink,however Heirlooms ruined the business quite a bit. I was earning 5K per boost, while some of my mates said they were getting up to 10k per run.

there is a lvl 101 twink balance druid with an 878 ilvl.

also, you can only get 2 relics in your weapon, making it an 820 weapon.

where as there is a 2 handed Mace that can drop up to ilvl 900.

Think that druid uses that as well.

Getting items with Leech is a must have.

and getting a decent twink geared will set u back around 1-2m gold.

but the amount of gold u will be getting from doing the runs, will cancel out money spent.

Due to BOA now scaling 1-110, you can get from 100-109 in about 2-3 hours from someone dungeon grinding you for 3-4k gold a Dungeon.

Sell Runs, owning in pvp, not getting ganked by lvl 110 players, as the scaling makes them easily destroy a lvl 110.

being able to que for dungeons as a tank, for instant que, being able to solo anything u want.

legends can be equipped at 101 since 7.1.5 and they can drop at 101 now.

you turn off exp and grind you get a legend, you start getting bad luck protection from 101.

Yeah, you're wrong. There's world drop BoEs that can be equipped at 101, which have a base ilevel of 835 at 110(and can titanforge like anything else), the crafted legendaries(and every other legendary) can also be equipped at 101.

To add to this, there's literally no penalty for wearing armors outside of your proficiency since you're getting a massive amount of secondary stats to more than make up for the primary deficit and the proficiency bonus.

The dps over 1 million is relative to the bosses percentage of health for a 110 but on the 101 it looks much lower than that in actual numbers.
