    Late 90's early 00's Nu-Metal is looking quite respectable now :P

    Also I am not sure it's a new sound, this sounds like screamo/Metalcore done really badly.

    If I wanted to listen to rock music with a good political message then I'd listen to Rise Against, Rage Against the Machine or Bad Religion, not this shit. :P

    It's some of the most generic, middle-of-the-road rap/nu-metal I've ever heard, whoever told you it was a new genre obviously missed the last ~25 years.

    Also, whilst I'm feeling pedantic, the -core suffix usually applies to genres that derived from hardcore punk which this clearly didn't.
