In a Sim I could have all of that plus everything else that I could even imagine.

I can see people vanish in these worlds the moment we introduce this tech. They'd just step out for food; maybe not even that... life support + sim forever. GG.
So basically Surrogates, that Bruce Willis movie?

Pain limiters and a closed system that isn't accessible from the outside. You could have a multiplayer version, theoretically, but at the end of the day... why? AI would be so perfect there would be no difference between AI and real humans, so there isn't even a need for a multiplayer.

You could literally create a universe where one RL day is like 1 year in the Sim. And you are God. Or you program a mission into your world, something you need to achieve, maybe you recreate the DBZ universe and make yourself Son Goku...

The sky isn't even the limit in such a technologically advanced society.

No, because Surrogates were used IRL. This is a 100% sim that happens in your head. It's much more like the Matrix.

Know what games they played in the year 1000? They didn't, they were busy farming or training or getting shitty educations or dying of dysentery or whatever.

They couldn't have imagined what the world would look like over 1000 years later, how could we ever hope to imagine what 3050 would look like?
Do you really believe they had no leisure or pastimes in 1000 AD?
Did you think we had forgotten? Did you think we had forgiven? Behold, now, the terrible vengeance of the Forsaken!

Probably a fun round of who will die first to this petty disease.

Just joking, obviously they had regular games like we have today. Board games, card games, play-pretend....

The game Go was first seen between 2500-4000 years ago...

Agreed. If I can have a simulator where anything I want can happen, I can design a world and be anything from the street sweeper to the emperor, download adventure DnD campaigns designed by other people and LIVE them. I'd never unplug from a simulator.

Also have you read LITRPG books? they're basically this haha.

i believe their basic ability and comprehension of how technology would advance left them as blind to how we would be 1000 years on as we are of our descendants 1000 years from now.

I may have exaggerated but the average person in 1000 AD probably wouldn't have had much time for games or leisure, yeah.

Elon Musk is already working on it. Though not exactly what he has in mind, but I thin it'll be born from gamers and the porn industry as usual. Though I wouldn't do it just cause I hate the idea of surgery. Especially anything to do with my brain.
