Heynckes' first game in charge ended 5-0, not bad. It was home against Freiburg so it was a very poor opponent but still a good start. Dortmund lost aswell at home to Leipzig so whoops the gap is suddenly 2 points at the top
The players had clearly downed tools on Carlo.
Watch the same players who were underperforming the last few months suddenly find form again.
Just loving the fact that the English speaking folks here think they're best banter class. Topkek
I wish we had some more Germans here to show you what bashing other nationalities really means. In a friendly way, of course.
Someone explain to me what the hell is up with Everton?
I agree. Many players were unsatisfied with the way they trained because it was too chill (Ancelotti does have a reputation of that), straight away after this game some players talked about how demanding Heynckes is. I think that might be the biggest factor.
Alaba, Coman and Müller had all a really good game and they have all been really poor this season and last aswell tbf. Thiago also had his best performance this season.
Martinez back in midfields seems like a really good idea and he played there when Bayern won the treble and that says a lot but he picked up a shoulder injury. Luckily there is plenty of central midfield back-up.
Some wild games to end the weekend. Betis - Valencia and Inter - Milan have been great.
Looks like Navas might be playing tomorrow as well as Varane, Marcelo and Benzema (as they haven't resented from their injuries).
Fernando Llorente: "We need to play a perfect match against RM. It's going to be tough but Harry Kane is at a whole different level right now"
