Also there are practical solutions for dood to door salesmen (not open the door?) and callers (dont answer/get redlisted) which is why advertisers are perpetually finding new ways to hijack your attention, because they are actively working to force you to see something you wouldn't want to see if the choice was offered in clear terms each time.
