Sonic Mania for PC is delayed for two weeks, 4 days before launch.

What I have going in terms of hype is still there, I'm calm as fuck and I'll still buy it without shedding a tear. It's not really an issue.

Hell most of the people bitching about the delay was just going to buy it from G2A anyway, So why should Sega(or any company) give a fuck.

Uhm source? That's a pretty bold statement to make. I purchased the game directly for PS4 because the people making it are hardcore Sonic fans. Plus from what I've seen Taxman do with porting older games and adding in bonuses like restoring Hidden Palace to Sonic 2 I'm interested to see what he and Headcannon come up with.

I'm just amazed at how well he ported Sonic 2 to IOS. A game that was never built for it. And to say he had to rebuild Hidden Palace with Beta assets he did a damn fine job.

I'm on the fence about Forces though. Lost World wasn't so bad but fuck Boom. Last amazing Sonic game for me was Generations.

I don't like the idea of OCs at all and find it pandering to the literal worst, garbagefire, parts of the Sonic fandom. I'll probably wait for either a discount before buying it. Unless it somehow ends up being the best game ever made that you need to play asap. Which I doubt. It looks like just Generations 2.

I don't know. I haven't been following Forces much at all. The OC bit really turned me off so I stopped paying attention. Even if it is only optional, just the fact that they're wasting so much of their time and resources on that kind of stupid shit is a disappointment.

Colours was good, Unleashed was decent, Generations was awesome and Lost World wasn't that bad. As for Sonic 4 well Episode 1 was meh but 2 was actually pretty decent.

Boom on the other hand was terrible.

Mania looks set to be good due to who is developing it. Of course I will find out tomorrow.

Still, it is a silly claim to say that there probably was never a good Sonic game. It's not like nostalgia is some sort of magical force that gave the game enough popularity to have nostalgia about. I mean, look at Bubsy, no one seems excited to relive that childhood game.

Sonic was able to secure a spot for people's nostalgia because it WAS good. Dated at this point? Maybe. But still good at the time. I would also agree that there's been more good Sonic games than bad ones.

Wait, really? That sucks. It's pretty nifty it seems, and wasn't that expensive either. Also who wouldn't love a "Seeegaa" noise whenever they want.

And I haven't actually watched it yet, but I've seen a few things worth a sensible chuckle, like the whole Knuckles and his "I thought your middle name was 'the'".
