Anime. What's your opinion on it?

Which macross, the original or some of those from the 90's? Personally I've only seen the original as well as the two most recent ones, Frontier and Delta.

The good old "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" but with all the name translated to there game version (Robotech), so Rick Hunter and not Hikaru Ichijyo lol and you should give Macross 7 and the OVA's a look too, specially Macross Zero

The 2016/17 versions are crap, both story wise and animation as they cut so much out and some of the 2017 animation is on southpark level. But the old one is pretty good.

Isn't the new one true to the manga while the old one is anime original?

I didn't watch the remake because of the art-style... I could endure the CGI-style in the movies, but man... there is no way someone can watch that ugly stuff they came up with for the 2 seasons after the movies.

I enjoyed the 3 movies though, they had a nice grim-dark feel to them and reminded me of The Witcher.

Kinda disappointing, I would've loved to see the Black Swordsman Arc in good quality.
