Favorites have to be the story driven open world games.

Horizon Zero Dawn.....just the most awesome game from start to finish
Borderlands 2......the only shooter I'm any good at
    Fallout 3 and later.....
    Elder Scrolls etc.
I love the stories and feel of all these universes.

And then there are the games that have kept me most occupied

    Euro truck sim 2
    Cities Skylines
    Kerbal space program
    No Mans Sky
    Banished

Hundreds of hours in each of these games and still playing them all now.

    I got no particular favourite, but I honestly loved the days of the point and click adventure game back in the 80s and 90s by the likes of;

    Sierra
    - King's Quest series
    - Police Quest series
    - Quest for Glory series
    - etc

    Lucas Arts
    - Monkey Island series
    - Sam and Max: Hits the Road
    - Day of the Tentacle
    - Full Throttle
    - The Dig
    - etc.

    and Westwood Studios.
    - Legend of Kyrandia series
    - Blade Runner

    Fantastic games.

If I had to pick a single game, of my all time favourite... it'd have to be Half-Life 1, followed by Half-Life 2. These games simply had the best modding communities around that just kept adding life to the engine. Counter-Strike and Natural Selection were simply awesome -- dare say I've accumulate more hours into them than all my characters' playtimes combined in WoW.

    GTA:V
    Tomb Raider
    Uncharted
    Saint's Row I guess

I like third-person stealth shooters. Bonus points for nice environments. Plot matters too (I'm not fanatic for "story"). Single player.

Here some of my favorite games of all time:

1-Dark Souls series (Including Demon's Souls and Bloodborne)

2-Tales series (Tales of Destiny, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Xillia, Zestiria, Berseria and so on)

3-Ori and the Blind Forest: (one of the best 2D metrovania games imo)

4-Castlevania Symphony of the Night (My favorite of the Castlevania series originally it was released in Sega Saturn first then later on in PS1 then another remake in the PSP)

5-Xenogears: one of the best RPG of all time, characters, story, sound tracks, everything about this game is just masterpiece in fact a lot of players (not all) loved Xenoblade chronicles because it reminded them of how great Xenogears was.

6-Legend of Dragoon: a true masterpiece which unfortunately during it's era it was super underated and considered as a FF7 copy cat which is not true because Sony been working on this game at the same time when Square was working on FF7 but because it was released after FF7 a lot of players didn't like it because of thinking it's a copy of FF7.

7-Final Fantasy Tactics: One of the best tactics games very deep storyline and characters. It will give you vibe of Game of Thrones tv series.

8-Final Fantasy VI: My favorite of the FF series and one of the few JRPGs that you basically don't know or not sure who is the main character (Yes you can arguely that Terra is the main character but yeah a lot of characters have a very deep story and motivation to the point you will feel that each of these characters is qualified to be a main character of his own RPG and not just a side kick helper minor character like most of RPGs these days where you find 1 or 2 main characters and the rest are just side kicks or minors).

9-The Witcher series: A masterpiece indeed if you are into a deep western RPG then this game is your type.

10-Shining Force series: An amazing tactical RPG with a very colorful characters and fun gameplay definitely one of my favorite specially the first one.

11-Phantasy Star series: I am not talking about universe or the online ones no I am talking about the old school ones the first was in master system and the second, third and fourth were in Sega Genesis. My favorite sci fi JRPG it's amazing how deep the story was and not the classic good vs evil = good always win stuff.

12-Chrono Trigger: This game is indeed a masterpiece and waaaaaaay ahead of it's time in almost everything. I call it the golden age of Square company.

In no particular order and these are really just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. These are also not the best games by any means, just the ones I have enjoyed the most over the years.

Infamous 2 - Probably my favorite game ever. Not sure why, I just love the way it plays and the way it tells a story.

Saints Row 2 - This game rode the line between serious and goofy perfectly. What other game can you go from a mission where one of the main characters is tied to the back of a truck and dragged through the streets while you chase and try to save them to no avail to a mission where you drive around in a septic truck and spray shit on houses? And still have it all feel correct and not at all out of place.

Suikoden 2 - I used to really love JRPGs. In many ways I still do, but for a short time around the end of the SNES era, through the PS1 era, and into PS2 era it was the golden era of jrpgs and out of all the many I played and loved, Suikoden 2 is my all time favorite. An amazing a engrossing story, fun battle system, beautiful spritework, and a huge cast of characters it was just a joy to play. Very close honorable mention to Final Fantasy VI, and Xenogears.

Ultima Online - My first exposure to MMOs. A game that would never work if released today, it really was just a totally open online world that just gave you the tools and systems and you made your own way through the world. Almost no story or quests or anything, it was also just an online chat room that just happened to have dragons you could kill. It is completely due to the people I met and played with, but I had a blast with UO way back when.

Sam and Max Hit the Road - I loved point and click adventure games especially Lucasarts games and while Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, and the Monkey Island games are great, Sam and Max is my favorite. I still will randomly quote lines from that game to this day even though not a single person has any idea what I am talking about when I do.

Fallout 2 - This game ran so poorly on my PC at the time that whenever I would move from one area to the next, it would take 5-10 min. to load and yet I would still sit there for hours playing into the wee hours of the morning. I just loved the whole retro-futuristic aesthetic, the post-apocalyptic setting, and the openness of the game. The newer games are fine, but I miss the more strategic turn based combat and the fantastic writing of the original games.

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - I never really played the original NES zelda games and didn't own a SNES until way later, but I did own a GBA and the Zelda game for it and while I would never say it is the best Zelda game, I think it is woefully overlooked. I just loved it. It just had such charm and still had everything you could want out of a zelda game in portable form.

World of Warcraft - It would be disingenuous to not include this game. It was a huge part of my life for many years and even though I don't play anymore, I still find myself checking in on it and keeping up to date as to what is happening with it. In terms of pure hours played, it has easily given me more entertainment than any other single piece of media.

That's pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head. Probably not what you are looking for since they are all old games but nothing new has really stuck with me lately.

Ogre Battle series: I have made no secret that I love the Ogre Battle series every game is connected in some way and you see characters from previous games pop up , it has a real Game of Thrones vibe to it with a more fantasy element to it, for example there is a scene where your allies stab you in the back because you are getting too popular with the people and their guy for the throne is being up staged by you.

Off note: Final Fantasy tactics falls also under this since its the same guy who made the Ogre Battle tactics.

Tales of Symphonia: I really liked all the characters and the world it was set on,it was my intro into the Tales series played it on the GameCube wich made me love the console.

Pokemon Gold and Silver: While I loved Red and Blue the Jotho games will be better in my eyes it took everything from Red and Blue and cranked it up to 11 more pokemon a brand new region to explore and even going back to Kanto and see what happend after a few years after the events of Red and Blue and A day and Night feature wich was a big deal back at the time, granted Black and White 2 also did this but Gold and Silver win by nostalgia points but get an honourable mention since Gold and Silver wins just a little.

Persona 3: While I played this when Persona 4 was already out I felt 3 was better story wise as well as dealing with a heavier subject matter and it had a darker atmoshere.

Metroid Prime: I loathed FPS games but Metroid Prime made me love it instead it was a good adventure and lots of things to explore and bosses and enemies were tough and fair to fight getting a new power always meant to me that I could explore more things in the world.

these are the ones that I can think off from my past that I really loved.

Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet, but Halo 3. Not only did it have an amazing campaign that saw you landing on Earth and fighting for ancient technology buried inside the planet, but you also got to see amazing worlds full of different environments, not to mention what happens when the flood shows up. Then there was the multiplayer. Once I got a good group of friends to play that with I don't think I played any other console game. Checking everyone's fileshare as soon as the parties loaded and seeing who had the coolest pictures, making maps with your friends, there was so much that mad that game fun.

    In no particular order...

Witcher 3 (I'd also count Witcher 2, but I didn't like the gameplay of Witcher 2, though the story was excellent)
Enderal (A total conversion mod for Skyrim, has over a hundred hours of gameplay per playthrough so I count it as it's own game)
Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim (Modded), and Online
Dragon Age Origins (To a lesser extent II and Inquisition, though they're not really as good as anything else on this list)
World of Warcraft, best expansion being Mists of Pandaria. Opinion of the game has gone down lately but I still enjoy the older expansions.
    Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Fable II (Xbox 360 game that I practically grew up with)
    Divinity: Original Sin
Divinity II (Different to the Original Sin series)
    Kingdoms of Amalur
    The Original Mass Effect trilogy
    Risen
    Saints Row 2
    Grand Theft Auto 4/5
    Star Wars: The Old Republic
Little Big Planet (The first one, everything went downhill after the second. PS3 exclusive. This was my main game before WoW).

That's about all I can remember right now.

    Tales of Symphonia
    Tales of Berseria
    World of Warcraft
    Journey
    SOMA

That's all I can be bothered with, so there you go. :P

Quakeworld, Ultima Online, Final Fantasy 7, Quake 3 Arena, Metal Gear Solid 1 and 3, Assassin's Creed 2, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Devil May Cry.

All Points Bulletin gets my vote for the best worst game of all time. That game had so much potential, but never made it past the beta phase.
Populists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.
