Good thought. Saw the same with the Hamburg G20 protesters. Media blew up over some violent protesters in one street but didn't do much to report on the thousands of peaceful protesters. If you didn't know better you'd think there was only violence when there actually wasn't.

There haven't really been any believable or reasonable conservatives in the USA for a long time now. Most of the republican party has turned into cartoon villains and into neocons with a religious agenda.

The Republican Party of the USA would not be able to exist in the rest of the modern world, because it's views are too outlandish, too anti-socialist and frankly too outdated (by approximately 50 years). The fact that they -do- exist points at a serious issue within US society regarding a lack of proper education or perhaps a too strong adherence to nationalist and fascist ideals that perpetuate such world views.

I'm a moderate myself, but by your statements and your signature it seems you aren't really interested in hearing the rights point of view. The Alt Right exists (the loosely defined group not Spencers White Nationalist organization) due to NeoCons being out of touch with regular right wing folks. I think Trump won because Clinton and the DNC are also out of touch with the common liberal. And the republican party hate Trump because he hasn't "paid his dues" like McCain has. And the left hate him because he is a rich white man who has a libido I guess. His policies aren't really much different from a centrist republican, but for some reason he's Hitler to the neocons because he's not one of them and extreme left because the media has made him out to be the worst president in history. Despite by policy and statistics its not true.

I feel like we need a word for this odd modern political invention that is broadly similar to fascism other than exalting diversity instead of a single race. It's a weird mirror image of fascists where instead of insisting on racial purity, there's an insistence that any job, group, or activity that's too homogenous should be assumed to be racist, sexist, anti-gay.

Can we just agree that extremists are bad, no matter what they want? ISIS, violent ANTIFA, NAZIS, KKK ... all the same idiots that use violence instead of arguments.
Can we also agree that the Nazis and KKK at Charlotteville where not harmless citizens but people who hated jews and their rally was not to make sure statues won't removed but their agenda was to show open hate for jews and migrants.

Everybody who is using violence needs to go to jail. Hate speech against minorities should also have consequences.
