    New GPU

    Hi!

Need help from experts to buy a new GPU
It's time to replace my old GTX780 card, can't see shit in 2k in PUBG
    Budget is around €400-500 ($500-600)

First of all should i go for GTX1080 or there are better 1070 cards in this price range?
Low noise and good cooling is priority

Some cards i like (i prefer Gigabyte)

Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 AORUS Xtreme 8G
    Gigabyte GeForce GTX GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8GD

    Ps: Bonus question
Can my old motherboard and CPU handle the new card or it will bottleneck?
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 GHz, 8 MB Cache
    Gigabyte Z87 LGA 1150 2 Way SLI

    Thanks for the help!

For 2K(which is not really a resolution used in PC Monitors at all, but is closest to 1080p, so I assume that's what you are referring to), you should not really be having issues with a GTX780 unless you are trying to play it on Ultra. For Medium-ish settings though, it should be very playable at the least. You describe it as "can't see shit" though, so I am guessing you have something else wrong.

Ah, yes, for 1440p you need a stronger card. At least a 1080 I'd say, though a 1080ti would likely be your best bet. I just briefly skimmed through a video of a guy playing at 1440p with Ultra settings and a 1080ti, he was staying around 90FPS, so I would guess a 1080 would certainly be able to stay above 60FPS and probably be around 70-75-ish would be my guess.

Definetely a 1080 with this budget. Gigabyte cards are pretty bad this generation, I wouldnt recommend any of it. They are huge, flimsy and quite loud under load (3 fans). The only one that is worth looking into is their cheapest 1060, simply because it's one of the cheapest cards while being a 2 fan design. If you're tight on budget you can consider 1080 G1 Gaming.

Best 1080s are out there are ASUS Strix, MSI Gaming X and EVGA FTW3, see if you can fit those into your budget.

just for reference, my 1070 runs pubg at a surprisingly consistent 60-80fps at 1440p.

but if you can afford it, a 1080 wont hurt.
