First and fore most, this is not a typical boxing fight--it is rather a money making scheme or a business deal between the two fighters and their promoters. Don't believe anything you see or hear in the press conferences, media, social media etc. It is all a show for publicity to increase interest and demand for the fight. Conor and Floyd are business partners, shaking hands behind the scenes in this business deal while putting on a show in front of the cameras for the gullible public. This is the most expensive pay-per-view boxing match and is set to break records--if everything go according to plan, Mayweather is expected to earn over $200 million and McGregor is expected to earn close to a $100 million.

I didn't know boxing allowed boxers to bet on their own fight. That is ridiculous. I recently saw tweet by McGregor touting a betting site called betsafe, which is a shit sportsbook that bans and limits long term winning bettors or sharp bettors. He said in the tweet to bet him at 49-1 odds in betsafe. Most reliable books have McGregot as 5-1 now. 49-1 is ridiculous odds and its surprising that he is touting that book and asking his fans to bet there. There is no way that book will be able to pay a 49-1 payout because almost everoyone would hedge thier mayweather bets and guarantee themselves profit. This makes me believe that either the book is scam and trying to run away with everyones money or McGregor knows he is losing and so does the book that is partnering with him. Fishy stuff going on here.
