Neo-Marxist Ron Paul? O_o

So, I'm on the Hill in the comment section and some guy who states that he is an ardent Clinton supporter claims that Ron Paul is a neo-Marxist. He said his domestic and foreign policy is neo-marxist because he has the support of conspiracy theorists and neo-confederates. I tried asking him to explain what he's going on about, but he only responded saying that America isn't an imperialist nation but China and Russia are. He's probably a troll or a massive idiot but I felt I needed to ask some folks if they have ANY idea what he's on about. How does one arrive to the conclusion that Ron Paul is a Marxist? O_o

Democrats are spinning themselves in circles trying to explain the unthinkable and humiliating loss to Donald Trump. Especially now that every Democrat is a foreign policy hawk ready to restart the Cold War to save their bruised egos.

You're right, it's like they're all shell shocked. I'm pretty left wing, far more than any mainstream democrat. I live in Chicago, and have been absolutely bewildered with the stuff I hear coming from my friends. They're so drunk on Russia hysteria, I've had friends who I thought were fairly intelligent people talking about starting a war with Russia. They're cool ripping up the Iran deal, which Obama drafted if it means more sanctions on Russia. What's even more astounding is how everyone is taking the CIA at it's word in regards to Russia, prior to 2016 no one trusted the CIA and hailed Snowden as a hero. I don't get how everyone turned into a hawk in the course of a few months. It's scary, it makes me feel like there's an undercurrent that it is not easily seen, culminating into something that's going to be catastrophic.

I have a friend who once had a "no blood for oil" shirt. He was super anti war during the Bush years but then went silent during Obama and is now a practical war hawk today. I think it is just baked tribalism. They are for whatever the party wants them to be for.
