To a lot of people, strength is only measured in your ability to win a fight. N'zoth hasn't really won anything and he couldn't even beat the other Old Gods in a 1v1 war if he tried. The thing is, though, that he lost on purpose knowing he couldn't win. I don't think people value this sort of strategy as much. To me, if he's the only Old God who was smart enough to escape death and the only one to be smart enough to sneak out of his prison from right under our noses using US no less, then he's the most dangerous.
I'd say a person's danger is not always measured by their strength. The stupid brute who can smash your face in and kill you with one punch SEEMS like the most dangerous. How many serial killers do you know who fit that description, though? N'zoth might be the weakest but he's certainly the most dangerous.
N'Zoth is the bridge for the Void Lord expansions.
An old god is never going to be the main villain of an xpack simply because my forum avatar wouldn't make for very good box art. N'zoth's expack's main villain would obviously be Azshara.
Am i the only one who want a mellow theme for next expansion? i'm tired of world ending threats .
non-tier: Duke Falrevere and the Bloodsail Buccaneers on Plunder Isle
Tier 1: King Rastakhan mind control by Prophet Zul on Zandalar
Tier 2: Azshara in Nazjatar
Tier 3: N'Zoth, Prophet Zul, Twilight Hammer and some of the Twilight Dragonflight in N'yalotha
Cleansing Azeroth Soul will be on 9.0 because N'Zoth managed to corrupt most of Azeroth's World Soul, we'll go underground to reach the nascent Titan before she awakes. We'll discover the buried cities of the Black Empire where many rifts from the Void are open.
He might not be a powerful fighter (like Lich King) but his other skills make up for that. And nothing stops Blizzard from boosting him with some plot. Devouring other old gods bodies for a power up is an option.
If he plays a part I would have my money on being the middle patch or the very end as a lead in to the next one.
We know next to NOTHING about N'zoth and what we do "know" is mere speculation. I for one welcome the suspense and mystery of the eldritch horror.
I wonder when he's actually gonna show up.
