The apostrophes are all placed in between consonants, there is no audible pause when saying any of those words. Same with Mac'aree. They would be pronounced the exact same without the apostrophes, they're mostly just there to make them seem more like fantasy names, and to give them a bit of style and the language a bit more depth. And maybe it's just because we're use to them being written a certain way, but Nerzhul simply doesn't look as cool as Ner'zhul. Originally Posted by Anduin Menethil

Well in the end I am going to pronounce Mac'Aree as Mac-car-ree just to mess with the OP.. :P Like how I pronounce Gul'dan as Ghoul-dan, Zuljin as Zool-gin and Ner'zhul as Ner-zool..
