It's actually pronounced "fel zone #4".
I agree on both parts. Never been to that site, but I have been around similarly strict sites and it really is far more pleasant there. But... A while ago, a mod responded to just such a question as your first one. The answer was along the lines of "if we banned everyone doing that, this place would be very quiet". I didn't get it then, don't get it now. There are plenty of people here posting all sorts of good, weird and silly threads, so we really don't need to have all the crap-posters here. A good indicator on what a crap-poster is, COULD be the amount of threads being closed for obvious reasons. Of course, that doesn't work for everyone, but it would remove a lot of them.
It's a fantasy word in a fantasy world. They sure as heck can decide how any given word is spelled and pronounced in their own fantasy world. It doesn't have to make sense. It just is how it is.
At least I commented on the topic. What have you done?

It's like Gif. Who ever created it, gets to denote how it's pronounced no matter what you think.
If what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Then I should be a god by now.
I didnt realise Blizzard was a singular entity that can pronounce words?
Unless you mean WoW VO's cannot pronounce... :P
I love Warcraft, I dislike WoW
Unsubbed since January 2021, now a Warcraft fan from a distance
This does not help your argument, all it shows its that Mc can be pronounced Mac and Mac can be pronounce Mc.
Words can have more than 1 pronunciation, what about, live, wind, wound, tear, bow, row, I mean, this list can go on and on, and considering Blizzard made up the name Mac'Aree, they can decide how to pronounce it.
It's almost as if it was an Eredun name and not an English one,go figure
The apostrophes are all placed in between consonants, there is no audible pause when saying any of those words. Same with Mac'aree. They would be pronounced the exact same without the apostrophes, they're mostly just there to make them seem more like fantasy names, and to give them a bit of style and the language a bit more depth. And maybe it's just because we're use to them being written a certain way, but Nerzhul simply doesn't look as cool as Ner'zhul.
Well in the end I am going to pronounce Mac'Aree as Mac-car-ree just to mess with the OP.. :P Like how I pronounce Gul'dan as Ghoul-dan, Zuljin as Zool-gin and Ner'zhul as Ner-zool..
You must have an easy life if THIS is something you whine about.
It bugs me whenever someone says Dalaran wrong. Dal is like dollar not Dallas and ran is like Ron, not ran.
