Can our characters die?

Are we invincible? Immortal?

We are getting powerful more and more with every expansion, does this mean we are not going to die?

If you think about it, we survived old gods, Lich King, dragons, demons and many other threats, and non of us died!

So, can any of our characters truly die?

Player Forsaken have died twice to the LK. Player DKs have died twice to the LK. Player Forsaken DKs have died three times to the LK.

If there is a soul shredder then maybe but i think death is just another realm we can go to and possibly will go to if blizz runs out of ideas and wants us to fight long dead characters!

What about when you approached LK in Howling Fjord and he kills you and mocks you whilst you are dead before rezzing?

He was talking about demon hunters demons have immortal souls unless killed in the nether.


Honestly our deaths and resurrections are not really canon its a game mechanic. It just doesnt make sense that we are the ONLY people who get them not a single character in the game gets rezed over and over.

Sure we are heroes but no where near as important or powerful as Varian or Vol'jin.

Actually, there are. They officially added the spirit healers to the lore with the whole Odyn/Helya thing. They've val'kyr who, after Helya's betrayal, sided not with her or Odyn, but went and became independent. Some travelled north where they were enslaved by the Lich King later, while most remained independent, and ferry heroes back to life.

No, in canon we have never died except to the LK.

Ingame lore has it as top player guilds have never wiped to a boss.

Ingame death only exists for gameplay reasons.

The way I see it, we're exactly like the burning legion, our souls are anchored to Azeroth, the world soul keeps us here and we can respawn as many times we want, ofc we die permanently when it comes to old age or when we're being overwhelmed by magic that's not native to Azeroth (rip varian)

Doing the equivalent of demons and argus titan soul except Azeroth titan soul in this case. One of the bosses in Antorus or Sargeras says we are bleeding our titan soul to be resurrected (unsure where i read it).
