Heroic vs. Mythic

Why are rogues ranked so high in heroic but bottom tier in mythic? Do you lose that much damage as the primary soak class? Do you care since your utility outweighs the loss in damage?

You said it, rogues are mainly taken for their soak abilities plus mythic is a lot more punishing to melee

Faster kill times on heroic, which is something sub will shine on cause of it's amazing burst. Once the fight lengths last a little longer however, sub falls down a bit. Plus the fact that it gains such little dps from 930 ilvl onwards compared to other specs.

Gear. We scale poorly. We don't get as strong as some(most?) other classes do with more stats. Started this tier top 3 now we're mid pack if not lower. Gets worse every week and will continue to.

thanks for the replies, that's kind of a bummer. I always liked the class fantasy of playing a rogue but lack of scaling and a feeling of character progression has always been really important to me :/

7.3 had some aims it should achive.

the main aim was to make the content more accessible by highering the overall power lvl (crafted gear, class buffs, argus and NC).

The aim was NOT to balance classes (kinda same story as 7.2).

Rogue was also not popular for their damage, they took rogues for soaking.
If it was only for damage they would have happily replace every melee spot with an arms.
