Nighthold > ToV > ToS > EM for me
I really reaaally dislike ToS mythic, its just horrible.

The soaking and the "need" for WA is making me dislike it

    Soak soak soak.

I've been raiding since Molten Core. ToS has made me (and most others in my guild) to completely lose interest in raiding - team disbanded, most quit some are still running M+

We were never very good, but we normally cleared old-Heroic/Mythic before next raid and that was good enough challenge for us.
ToS brought in completely new requirements - if you're not 24/7 pro-streamer dude then the game is not for you. The requirements to grind outside raids have gone up, the requirements to bring certain classes have gone way up, the requirements of having your own WA-programming dude is new.. the reliance on addons is extreme.. and so on..

Combine this with a raid that seems to have been done by different teams who didn't coordinate or talk much... and yeah.. what a steaming pile of shit.

I get why Blizzard has decided to cater for professional streamers, it's marketing dept steering. But it sucks that the game content is now designed for needs of 40-ish people instead of a larger group.

Who the fuck has 5 rogues in their 20 man team anyway?

I quite enjoy'd the raid, its not as good as some old ones but hey, its a decent raid and its not all green and purple with annoying 10000 years old brats.

It's considerably more amusing than Nighthold, at least to me. I don't mind it. Doesn't set my soul aflame, but my 1 day/week group spends around 1½ hours clearing heroic and that's that. I don't really have time to dislike it with menial raid leading tasks to be done, and 1½ hours/week for a chance at an upgrade and some raid-friend socialising isn't bad.

    I hate it too

It is probably the least enjoyable raid they've made in a loooooooong time. Boss mechanics are so similar with all the soaking shit.

lulz, did ssazine, i liked her, even with fps that go under 8 with the whale
tons of room for dps improvement and optimization in that boss

this pretty much.. and i really really dislike "whole raid dies" mechanics, like on maiden. it's just not fun

TOS (mythic specifically) is the worst raid they have released in a long time, probably since Cata, maybe ever.

Some silly mechanics tend to be my biggest complaint about Tomb, otherwise its a fine raid. It doesn't feel nearly as long or dragging as Nighthold did and still feels pretty fresh unlike EN after a while. We haven't really done Mythic and have no interest to, but some of the mechanics of the later bosses in Heroic are extremely annoying and don't add much to the fights. My two biggest complains are Avatar Phase 2 and the KJ fight in total. The tornadoes in phase 2 of Avatar must have never been tested. There is no way that phantom tornadoes, tornadoes stalking you, and the ones changing their path randomly was intended. It's a really annoying shitting mechanic and I dislike it a lot. Why not have the avatar summon lava balls that the raid has to dodge instead? Or have KJ hurl fire at us during the fight?

KJ in general is just not a fun fight. Really not a fan. Gul'dan and Xavius were done well, although I have my issues with Xavius. With KJ you have to stack immunities to have a chance in the fight, during progression at least. One person fucks up soaking in heroic progression? That's the fight might as well wipe and try again. The animations for some of the spells looking exactly the same as the armageddon animation.... Why? Why was this a good idea? Fog of war is interesting but forces you to stack hunters or feral druids to find Illidan quickly or lose too many raid members to have a chance in phase 3. The only part of the fight that I like is Phase 3, mainly because it eliminates the stupid soaking mechanic. The only things I would change are making the obelisks a little more visible before they explode and maybe making the rift not pull as strong.

    My ranking for Legion is:

    NH > TOS > EN > TOV

TOV is only last because it was over tuned as shit when it came out and never fixed until like the week before the Nighthold patch. It felt like you couldn't kill Odyn without a Bear or Brewmaster in heroic.

I don't like the environmental concept of all raids since firelands. There is no touch anymore. Soul is missing. Encounter Design requires also some kind of fresh air slowly. Feels like we are handling more or less the same mechanics for 5 to 6 years now, just in different combinations.

You know what happened after firelands, don't you?
Tbh all new raids feel shallow and miss that sense of epicness of ulduar icc etc...

Tomb of Soaking, worst raid they've made imo. The only fun boss is Avatar, the rest of the raid feels like a chore.

I think Heroic ToS is really well done, there's interesting fight mechanics- even if a few are rehashes of past mechanics. Nothing feels 'too challenging' to the point the encounter suffers because of it.

However, Mythic Tomb is a shit show. Pre-nerf difficulty ramp was ludicrous. There's a lack of depth and instead of adding mechanics that test your teams abilities, everything is either soak mechanic or a wave of adds. Minor mistakes are super punishing (i.e. raid wipe). It's just a mess all around.

I despised ToS, I thought the fights just weren't engaging most of the time.

I liked it, but after clearing it more than a dozen times I do look forward to some fresh raid content.

Tomb of soaking is nothing compared to first tier of cata, aka the INTERRUPTIER (fuck you hc halfus!!)

I'd rather have an interrupt rotation than soaking with immunities left & right all the time.

If you're a rogue and your interrupt costs energy so you gotta dps while keeping an eye on energy bar and not let it fall under a certain treshold that's not fun at all
