Is one or two albums enough to give a band a different genre?

Hello, Champions. Good to see you all.

I've been thinking about some topics concerning metal (the genre and all its subgenres): Is one or two albums enough to give a band a different genre?

    Lets say:

Iron Maiden was pretty "savage" when they've started out. Heavy Metal at it's peak. But nowadays, Iron Maiden sings about the wrong things of war, tales of failed Zeppelins, and etc. Their approach is much more melodic - I've even heard some people giving Maiden the power-metal subgenre.

    So, what do you think?

Forget about kabeling things. Enjoy it or don't. Far to often people enjoy or hate something based on the name alone.

Why does everything need to be labelled? You like it or you don't.
