Question Murder rates across Canadian and US Cities

I thought this was interesting to look at.

For all the talk of Chicago, it's number 6th on the list.

What observations and conclusions do you draw from this?

Seriously? What do you think the conclusion is that I will draw from it? I would say it, but I would get banned. Not getting banned by biting a Tennisace thread today. Sorry.

I see that Detroit is making that comeback.

ha, Denver shits on Aurora all the time (they grew and are attached these days) for being ghetto and violent, has a lower homicide rate

    1) Where is this from? No source = no discussion
    2) Chicago has 4x the population of Detroit, so even if it's "rate" (What does 'rate' even mean?) is half, it still has 2x as many homicides as detroit.

I love that people call Aurora a ghetto. If that's as bad as it gets around Denver, then they are doing just fine.

I draw the question of 'What is the source for this information'

This is an incomplete list. It's not going strictly by size, because there are plenty of cities with higher population ray are not on the list. The OP needs to provide a source for this graphic.

    What conclusions do you draw?

    The data isn't really clear.

TIL you are 20 times more likely to be murdered in St. Louis, MO than New York, NY.

Also, I knew Newark was bad, but not THAT bad.

St. Louis remains the murder capital of North America. Sure am proud of the big city in my state... oh wait, no I'm not.
