what class would you pick if blizzard announced early that a new class was coming with the next expansion
(if it's not listed then explain your idea)

I think a gnome/goblin goofy class would do incredibly poorly just like having a panda goofy class did poorly. Especially if they made it gnome/goblin exclusive. Plus gnome/goblin hunter with mech pet, gun, and engineering is basically a tinker already.
Necromancer would require taking too many things away from DKs and that's just a bad start for a new class.
Would love a tinker. It is completely new and doesn't look any similar to other classes, unlike necromancer or shadow hunter (or whatever it is called).
Is this the new Tinker vs Demon Hunter?
Gonna go with Tinker. Mechanical class sounds more unique than a class that was built into death knights.
necromancers are not the same as deathknights and do not look similar at all
deathknights are primarily unholy paladins with very very light undead abilities
necromancers are primarily raising undead to do your dps(20-30 undead permanantly) and tanking(5 big strong undead permanantly if tanking was added) and leech type abilities for dps and using your own health for healing other players(if healing spec is added)
and most of all necromancers are primarily a ranged/caster class
necromancers are literally different classes you basically tried to compare warlocks and mages by saying they're the same because they cast spells

I... ugh...
Tinker will never happen. Even if an engineering-type class happened (which seems super-unlikely, frankly), it will never be called "Tinker".
a lot of the lead death knights were once paladins so DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS? did you even play wrath of the lich king i mean like the whole concept of arthas being a paladin and doing unholy things..he was still the lich king and a paladin during the first part of frozen throne only after he defrosted he became a deathknight possibly the first
not the same as a necromancer that's for sure
it's like you're trying to compare melee hunters to warriors it makes no sense so stop
being a scourge minion does not make you the same class
scourge has always had 2 main classes in their army
necromancers and death knights
deathknights are front line fighters
necromancers are support
warlocks are basically the legions version of a mage
necromancers are closer to being the scourge's version of a warlock than being compared as the same as a death knight

No new classes please, thank you.
Madness will consume you!!!
Where's the neither option? :/
unholy dk is very light and still melee focused
so you have no idea what a necromancer even is
unholy dk summons 1 minion that transforms into 1 tank
a necromancer raises armies for the lich king while the deathknights are out attacking downs
again you're trying to compare melee hunters to warriors basically
necromancers are like kel'thuzad

would you still play it if paladins got a bard spec literally named bard and primarily buffed people and debuffed enemies and held 1h weapon+ offhand and their main offhand item is some harp or trumpet something

*cough* Demon Hunters from Demonology Warlocks *cough cough*
Though I do agree. Necromancer would be be taking from Unholy DKs most, but I imagine also Affli Warlocks would lose a fair chunk of abilities too. Raising dead, curses, shadow magic and healing yourself by removing life from others?
And the whole 20-30 undead army? Yeah. Unholy has that as a CD and Demo effectively has that as their rotation, but with demons. Sounds like Demo would have to have yet another rework.
A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.
necromancers did not originate from the scourge
necromancers have existed before the scourge was even created before deathknights existed
but the scourge does have necromancers
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Necromancer
deathknights are ameture to intermediate at best in terms of raising the dead
necromancers are experts and masters
there has been 2 types of necromancers the eredar warlocks and Sandfury sand trolls practice necromancy with voodoo.
necromancers does not have to come from a scourge expansion but a scourge expansion would suit a necromancer theme nicely since the bulk of necromancy peaked during the scourge era
they're not the same class and never were and there was literally 2 types of necromancers
the king i suggest is the scourge themed warlock kind for wow
