It wasn't written that way. The entire point of us being there is the Lich King was testing us throughout the expansion, weeding out the weak, so that only the strongest heroes Azeroth had ever known would make it to his throne, where he would then kill us and raise us to conquer the world for him, while Tirion was made to watch. That is the lore.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.
Uther and Tirion aren't even close in power to Turalyon. Uther was the first Paladin, he was a mentor to both Turalyon and Tirion and passed his knowledge on to them, after which both of them could build on that to become more powerful than Uther ever was. Up to the Second War they walked very similar paths as peers, after that however Turalyon got infused with the Light and spent a thousand years perfecting wielding the Light as a weapon, which is what being a Paladin is all about. To think Tirion could have mastered wielding the Light greater than Turalyon in barely a lifetime would be ridiculous, even more so if you take into account the wealth of knowledge available to Turalyon from beings who have spent millennia and eternity wielding the Light.
That being said, of course Tirion is a bigger character given that Uther has been dead since well before World of Warcraft began and Turalyon has been off-screen for roughly the same amount of time, so I understand anyone who'd like for Tirion to have been the more powerful one. Wouldn't make much sense, though.
Uther is like the ObiWan Kenobi of WoW but Turalyon has been fighting the Legion on their home turf for a thousand years and is still standing. Every piece of his loot must be indestructible super charged titanforged out the ass packed with sockets and bonus speed and leech by now...
Turalyon hands down. Really shouldn't even be a debate, he won the 2nd war for the alliance, went through the dark portal won again. Battled demons for over 1,000 years.. his teachings with the light is more developed. Anyone who says anyone else is just being more of a fanatical thinking...
generic pally vs generic pally vs generic pally
change can't wait.
Tirion hands down. His faith was strong enough to defeat the Lich King who is by far the most powerful foe any of the Paladins have ever defeated. Uther couldnt stop Arthas and Turalyon had trouble with a first Gen DK.
Not only that but Tirion's faith did not blind or control him in the way it does most Paladins. He saw the good in all races even undead.
You can't base an overall judgement of their power on 2 single events.
Though two can play that game.
Turalyon fought the Legion for a thousand years in countless wars and continues to do so.
Tirion was captured and killed at the beginning of his second war against the Legion, Azeroth's third war against the Legion.
Pretty tough to say. I wish I could've seen more of Uther in combat, he was only shown fighting Arthas which he lost despite having the favor of the light during the match. Tirion is a great and powerful paladin, but I think he's only that strong because he's carrying Ashbringer which is in a league of its own power wise. If Uther was using that sword instead he might've been the strongest, and I haven't been imrpessed with Tirions fighting skills before the Ashbringer. As for Turalyon he seems powerful and has a history of being in constant battles, but then in Legion he seems to lose his badass status and just lets the players do all the fighting instead while he AFK's in the Vindicaar. Maybe we see more of his fighting skills in Antorus.
So far I'd say Uther if there's no Ashbringer involved, otherwise probably Tirion.
