Why farm relic/trinket relinquished tokens?

While you're not wrong, I think this is a one-sided argument.

Eating food is optional. Not if you enjoy living, though.

Depending on the level you want to play WoW, there are certain expectations for your character. If you want to reach those expectations, some things are not optional. Having specific gear or legendaries or artifact points being one of those things expected of mythic raiders.
