That's the thing, Nazism is not really analogous to communism. Comparing it to Stalinism would be more accurate. Communism is no different than any other political philosohy. Sure, it's one I happen to disagree with at a fundamental level, but it doesn't necessarily mean a person supports things like what the Nazis did.

Ummmm, the 101st isn't special operations, doesn't have a selection process, and is MTOEd the same as any other light infantry division. When they de-activated their 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, they even lost the distinction of having extra helicopters. Don't get me wrong, they're a fine division with a great history, they're just not idenfiably special from any other. When 101st airborne was conceived pre world war 2, it was the only unit where you had to volunteer to join in. It was filled with people from all walks of life. Extremely bright and smart people. Band Of Brothers TV show narrated their story.


I am comparing them to current "volunteer only" crowd. We get the bottom feeder now. Most of these people can't find any other job. I have little more to add to current state of our "military".

actually.....the demographics of the military very closely resemble those of the civilian world, in fact, it's harder to get into the military than it is to get into most 4 year universities.

I mean....idk, I got my 4 year degree using my GI Bill with no debt to my name, along with respectable job experience, can't be that stupid.

A communist has no place in the U.S. military, how sad that he has ended a otherwise distinguished career in such a way. He will probably be discharged for violating art 88 of the UCMJ and be made to pay back the USMA for his education.

I can understand it when people are opposed to fascism and nazism, because both are inherently hateful and undemocratic forms of goverment, but there is nothing within the principles of communism that makes it a hateful ideology which can't exist within a democratic and non-authoritarian society.

Nazism should be banned, for obvious reasons.

while im on your side i will not support stupid attempts to belittle or slight the US military. hopefully this time next year my son will be joining the air force. he says he wants too, but as a parent i know not to count my eggs before they hatch... but if he does i will be very proud of him.
