Construction crews are already building some of the border wall prototypes along the U.S.-Mexico border near San Diego. A construction crew used a crane to hoist a 30-foot tall border fence section into place just a few dozen feet north of Mexico.



A damn fine looking wall, can't wait to see the other prototypes.

Man that's gonna look great when a future Democrat President, probably a Latino one, has a "tear down this wall" moment and attacks it with a sledgehammer.

You do realize that's exactly what is going to happen right? One it is built (it won't be but humor me) it will have to be maintained forever. That will require a Democratic buy in for when they win the Presidency. Absent that, get ready for "Berlin Wall: America Edition".

Also, there's the fact that a lot of them end up overstaying their visit because of the slow ass governmental processes to renew visas or get their citizenship paperwork worked out.

Just because you ignore the other alternatives doesn't mean people don't offer them. Illegal immigration isn't as big of a problem as people make it out to be. We were deporting 2-3 million people a year already. They just weren't rounding up families who weren't hurting anyone and who were trying to get their shit figured out to possible become legal residents. This analogy may sound fucked up but here it goes: Your house has an ant problem, you gone through numerous methods to try and kill the ants directly but the problem persists. Money, time, effort spent that solved next to nothing. Maybe try to find out why the ants are there? In other words, clean up the place of left out food so they won't have a reason to come.

Many illegals are here for the jobs that shouldn't exist as is. Their wages are impossible to compete with and are not automatically deducted for any relevant taxes. Maybe go after the people hiring illegals?

For like the 5th time, we do not have a "problem" with them entering illegally. Most of them enter legally.

Those cases are few and far between. The crime rate among immigrants, legal or not, is vastly below the crime rate of our own citizens.

Who gives a shit if they can get a driver's license? They still have to pass all the same requirements. Would you rather them just drive around without passing those requirements? How does that hurt you at all? And what other "benefits" do they get exactly?
