We need the Undermine as a city like Suramar if next expansion is the South seas

I just did the Goblin starting zone after a few years and I can't believe they wasted so much resources in a zone that you stay for 30 minutes. All that artwork and theme is never used again except in Azshara where there is nothing to do anyway.

So the theme is already there- even if it needs to be fleshed out to 2017 standards.

I would expand it out so it is not so goblin-centric. Perhaps you need to join a gang like in MSoG in hearthstone and you become hostile to the other 2 gangs while in the city.

I think they did a fantastic job with Suramar and that a light-hearted themed city would look great in WoW.

I have some bads news. Gangs can't handle Undermine.

And sorry, Undermine IS the central of Goblins, we can't make it less so. The majority of your idea would fit more for an updated Gadgetzan.

Undermine is run be multiple cartels, you have hostile and friendly cartels there. If it were to happen, I could imagine us having to watch out in some sections of Undermine, as the Venture Co. has a seat there, as well as steamwheedle (I AM LOOKING AT YOU, PIRATES!).

Actually, if you did that and a little more slum'ish, then you would have something fitting the Goblins.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

Mix of high tech with all the seedy criminal activity and vices all bathed in neon signs advertising for businesses. Add in all the wealth disparity of Ultracapitalism where in one town you can see amazing decadence and on the other side people living along rivers of waste.

Yup, you're getting close there. I mean, we do see on Kezan that when Goblins starts getting wealthy, they start getting multiple of things, and dumb things...

But the undermine got destroyed anyway. Perhaps other races came in after rebuilding it?

Also, since the technology of making a city in WoW revolves around having extremely low quality models for citizens, I would suggest that almost every NPC out there are goblins, but the some other important characters are of other races.

Not that I want other races shoven up the throat, it's just that I don't think that Blizz would make a city around a single race (Suramar was full of demons).

Undermine wasn't mentioned as destroyed. No one knows the actual size of the Undermine. We hear on some Goblin NPC's that they have tunnels around the world that all connects. As well, Kezan was destroyed, well, ruined. Nothing is destroyed when you're a goblin. Kezan had a volcano and that is proof enough that it wasn't really right on top of Undermine. I could see a section or two collapsed but not the whole thing.

And I could see them rebuild rather fast.

Most likely to be considered intruders or slaves. Or, low paid work associates.

Mate, you don't think deep enough. If you're in Undermine, the important characters are the Goblins. You can't bench a cartel leader, you can't wrench a mad man and you cannot stop the Goblins from keeping their foot of other races to give them space.

NPC's in Undermine would be a majority of Goblins, Hobgoblins and Trolls, the two latter would most likely be stuck at slave, or revered 'Oaf'.

Suramar was a city around a single race, the demons were invading at the blessing of the leader. If you bring Undermine up, then it would be safe to guess that a city with a seat for the Bilgewater would mean that Gnomeregan would be needed. One could do a cross-invasion mission between the two cities though.

Oh man, I love Kezan. I think it might be my favorite zone in the game. I would absolutely adore Undermine as a real, lively, grungy, claustrophobic metropolis, maybe with separate Alliance/Horde sections for Bilgewater and some other Alliance-friendly cartel (or gnomes? Could there be a gnomish cartel buy-out?).

I'm wondering about the likelihood of even seeing Undermine, though. Broken Isles shows a willingness to spread lore zones way out. And there have been pretty strong hints towards Kul Tiras. There are already so many lore zones in the same part of the ocean as KT (Crestfall, Zul'Dare, Balor, Channel Islands), that I wonder if they wouldn't save the actual South Seas zones (Kezan, Tel'Abim, Plunder Isle, Nazjatar) for their own expansion.

Would be really cool of it was a city hub, questing/rep zone and had rares/treasures like Argus/Intemporal Isle.

And instead of hide from the guards with an illusion, you would have to stay out of their way/lure enemies elsewhere.

I really want Gadgetzan as a city but the way it was shown in Hearthstone. I think it would fit in the next expansion.

That was a quest design problem, not a zone design problem

An underground city of memes, filled with mafia families, gangs, casinos, pop culture jokes, and greedy little New York Yodas with their neon billboards, grass mats, trikes, cars, pool party animals, umbrellas and lounge chairs.

I literally cannot think of anything worse than that. I would quit immediately.

The less focus on Goblins the better.

I loved Kezan and I think it is generally seen as a positive.

As with Kezan if they do it then they need to do what they originally intended with Suramar and make it something everyone can ignore if they want. It needs to be completely irrelevant to the lore, so edgelords can just pretend it isn't there.

Because, you know, some people take their game filled with gnomes, space goats, cow people and dog people, seriously, and wouldn't like it.

I definitely get what you're saying. WoW is absolutely a whimsical fantasy game, and don't get me wrong there's definitely room for humor and silliness.

Comedic relief is very important to break the doom and gloom that comes with cosmic monstrosities that want to devour the universe

But goblins are just a bit too wacky in my opinion.

They feel disconnected, to me at least, like they don't belong in the game, because no other races are as silly as they are.

I know it'll never happen, but I desperately want them to do a Suramar-style Gadgetzan zone at some point in the future. The worldbuilding they did for that expansion was fantastic.

Just organize all the classes into the three gangs, just like in HS -- Demon Hunters join the Kabal, Monks join the Jade Lotus, and DKs join the Grimestreet Gang.
