Really another sad story of someone radicalizing himself in the alt right corners of the internet, with a truly tragic ending.

This guy was also known as Seattle4Trufth on Youtube, the_Donald, and on /pol in 4chan. Known for making deranged posts about leftist conspiracies. Finally taking the game of triggering leftist too far.

MOUNT VERNON — The Bow-area man accused of stabbing his father to death was charged Thursday in Skagit County Superior Court.

Lane Maurice Davis, 33, pleaded not guilty to one count of first-degree murder. He is being held on $1 million bail.

Court documents state Lane Davis started a fight with his parents July 14 at their home in the 4000 block of Wharf Street, accusing them of being “leftists” and “pedophiles.”

An audio recording of the fight, found on his father Charles Davis’ cellphone, indicated that Lane Davis threatened to kill his father several times.

Lane Davis told police he was angered after reading something on the internet about “leftist pedophiles,” which sparked an argument between the two men.

By the time police arrived, Charles Davis was dead, documents state.

Lane Davis is expected to appear in court again Sept. 7.

He was previously held on a magistrate’s warrant, which gives police 30 days to build a case before filing charges in Superior Court, which handles felonies.

Some time ago I said on these forums that anyone who takes pol seriously is living in a nutty fantasy world. I sincerely thought no one could take those ironic ramblings seriously. Now some guy killed his dad over what it sounds like it was Pizzagate. There may have been other mental issues or even bad experiences between them but the trigger being some internet bullshit is pathetic.

How the fuck do we stop these kind of things? Some point to censorship to avoid radicalization but the root of the problem I feel is something else. Too many people do not want to listen to the other side or even consider their opponents, just like them, have the good of the country in mind but disagree on the methods. The left has popularized that behavior lately and the right's reactionary idiots are taking it to the next level.

The best way I can think of is if we start practicing more empathy and focus less on excusing the clear issues each of us have on our own sides. Reach across the aisle and begin by considering your political opponents may just be different, not evil.

And for the love of god, fellow right wingers, do not fucking excuse this or point to the left. Be better than that. You damn well know you'd be all over this guy if it had been a leftist. Do not be hypocrites.
