What do you want to see in a new Caverns of Times Dungeon/Raid?

I personally would like to see a short raid themed around the siege of stormwind in Warcraft 1 since the majority of caverns of time dungeons turns you into alliance races I think it'd be a nice change.

I actually speculated that there would be a Siege of Stormwind raid tier in WoD, considering all the parallels they were throwing back to the First War. It would've been cool to see the AU Iron Horde actually succeed in going through the Dark Portal and assaulting Stormwind, forcing the Alliance and Horde to band together and free it from the Iron Horde's grasp. And besides, we had one raid in Orgrimmar... so, why not Stormwind?

Obviously that didn't happen, so I'm all for a COT of the original Siege of Stormwind.

Black Empire would be awesome like everyone else has said.

Fighting vs all the Elemental Lords and say Y'shaarj because we won't be able to fight him in the present. On the side of the Titans.



Fighting Galakrond could be cool aswell, just a good old 1 boss raid like old times.

Final battle: Titans vs Old Golds - something I believe is doable now, since we at least have the Pantheon members models deployed in-game. Doubt anything else could come even close to this.

I'd like to see another one like the Thrall jailbreak. Time's *been* changed and we have to help fix the timeline, rather than just stopping the infinite.

For actual examples, maybe the seige of Quel'thalas, helping Gul'dan take the elven waystones. Maybe escorting Khadgar and King Laine in Kara to kill Mediev.


And please god, no more 'wave' dungeons. Having to do Black Moras in Timewalking and dealing with yet another Dalaran Jailbreak....please, no more.

Would certainly be interesting. I wonder in what way or era. Could it be related to Black Empire era (dunno if that applies though since C'thun wouldn't be imprisoned) or maybe War of the Shifting Sands.

I honestly would love to see that. It'd also be another excuse to give us another troll raid if we don't go the Zandalar route.

The fall and betrayal of Alterac
Thrall uniting the clans
Sargeras meeting the Eredar

Out of these I'd probably would like to see the Fall of Galakrond and The War of the Three Hammers the most. I really want to see a focus of the other races of Azeroth that aren't Elves, Orcs, and Humans. Dwarves would be perfect to see.

I actually didn't even think of that. Having events like that would be really cool for an old god themed expansion if they wanted to show the full power of old gods in a way that doesn't impact the current Azeroth. There would be so much room to create interesting dungeons that way too.

With CoT they could literally do anything in the history of wow, and it doesn't even have to be our timeline.

That's what makes CoT so interesting. It can fit within any expansion during any time period. I feel if Blizzard ever were in a situation where there was a content drought and the story of an expansion was finished CoT would be perfect. In addition just in terms of adding content within any patch it can fit anywhere. That's why I think they should expand it. Best thing is that events that occurred in books that haven't showed up in game can be added or like you said alternative timelines can be utilized.

Personally I'd love for that to be one of the projects they give a team of summer interns, create a CoT dungeon. Obviously they would work with some senior level people because it'd be cross department but it'd be such a great project since they'd get to have something in the game that is pretty front and center.
