Get ready for your final adventure on Azeroth as you know it. The Old World is a love letter to Warcraft's past, and things will never be the same after its events.

A few spoilers from the plot:

When the brave champions of the Alliance and the Horde slaughtered two of the vile old gods, every aspect of their being split away and took form deep under the Earth. Now weaker than ever before, these shards of the void fell prey to the whispers of N'zoth.

U'kre, the Madness of Yogg-Saron has seeded the Whispering Forest among the ruins of the fallen kingdom, Azjol-Nerub. From there, she grows the tendrils of void that nourishes N'zoth, making him a greater threat than he ever was.

Azshara, now in possession of the tidestone, invades the South Seas. There is barely anything left of Kul Tiras, and the Zandalari fall to infighting. Azshara is commanding the shards of the Old Gods, not only to awaken N'zoth, but to dominate the final Titan in the name of the void.

The boy king offers his first lie, the Banshee Queen is not pleased. Her fight to secure a future for her people will turn into a search for salvation for her entire people, the Horde. Her sister will force the moment of clarity she has been waiting for to existence; she is the Warchief of the Horde. The Alliance however, is fracturing with raised voices that borderline treason. Almost tv-like, developing stories throughout the expansion.

Nothing will be left unsaid, the past will be honored. Arthas, Illidan, Vol'jin, Thrall, Malfurion, Onyxia, Malygos, all offer either something to fight, or someone to share drinks with over the fire, to help you remember their tales and live them yourself.

Elune doesn't appear to be all that benevolent.
