"just as good, if not better" is a blanket statement meaning the same as "always superior". I'm a mythic raider and don't subscribe to the pvp-minigame mentality.
You can customize them to suit any need you have:
You can have special icons on each frame for things you want to know. It doesn't have to be something universally required by every player to know, as long as it fulfills a personal requirement.
You can delete information from the frames you don't want, streamlining them further.
You can choose the art style you desire.
In short: just because you don't have the imagination to customize frames to improve your experience, doesn't mean everybody else can't see why addons are simply doing a better job than the standard frames.
Ps. ElvUI skin for 'standard frames' is literally an addon inside ElvUI. Else you can't access the skin.
Pps. Saying X person is the best healer in the world, and using that as basis for your argument is just pathetic. It's not something you can objectively state.
It has been shown that 75% of all the figures on the internet are made up with 93% certainty.
OT:
- If we keep bodyguards we need a way for them to stop attacking mobs/players and keeping us in combat until every last red bar our follower has touched is dead!
- One large, customizable bag as a default UI option.
"don't subscribe to the pvp-minigame mentality" is a blanket statement meaning "I'm shit at pvp so have no idea if my argument stands" and "I'm a mythic raider" is a blanket statement meaning "I've killed mythic Goroth post nerf and my opinion is invalid". See; I can also draw conclusions by comparing one statement to a completely different one. Not once did I suggest that "addons in general are always superior", regardless of how your tiny brain decides to interperet what I actually said, which is that "the default blizzard raid frames are just as good, if not better, than raidframe addons".
Ps. Educate yourself before spewing nonsense. ElvUI re-skins the default blizz UI. ElvUI allows you to do all of those things you've mentioned above, to the default UI, without a raid frame addon. You can literally achieve every bit of customization that other raid frames use, with the default UI, unskinned in ElvUI e.g. "special icons", deleting information, etc. My argument has never been otherwise, you just read what you wanted to read.
So, in short, if you had a brain (you don't) you can use 1 addon (ElvUI), to reskin (or not) the default blizz UI, and every other pixel on your screen, without the need for separate raid frames.
So the healer (role in which gameplay revolves around raid frames), who happened to get world 1st Lei Shen, Ra-Den, Garrosh, Blackhand & Archimonde, achieved Gladiator in 3v3, achieved world best CM times at the end of MoP, and world first CM Golds in WoD, then quit wow for the eSports scene, isn't a good basis for my argument, but you have yet to give a single example for the basis of yours, and yet I'm pathetic hahahaha what a mongoloid.
Account wide gold pool.
Best quality of life for me would be to remove artifacts and make swapping specs viable again.
Delete Huntards.
I'd personally love to have those hardcore realms already, or "Pristine" as they've put it. In case they re-do the world and introduce new quest-lines like in Cataclysm, things like "I am bored and have seen this content a dozen times" are out the way.
PS - Not a vanilla fan.
A rework to the ancient guild system that desperately needs replacing. And possibly rework the social pages so that the lists can be longer for both friends and ignores.
Free flight on release day. Sounds about acceptable for a reason to give my money to Bliz.
And guild order hall by simply collecting together guild members is doing exactly what class order halls do now.
It is taking them out of the world, and only worse is doing so into a cherry-picked group far more than class order halls.
This guild battle feature you describe is more an attempt to disguise that.
A guild is only as social as people want to make it, it isn't simply that on its own.
And many aren't, just a group behind closed doors who don't want to venture outside of it.
Group finders and world quests etc, content in which players will encounter each other offer far more opportunities for socialisation, but we have to actually want it.
Look at how people complained about how ground finder changes meant not automatically completing a world quest in 5 seconds with minimal effort.
That is the cause of anything anti-social in the game, the intent to avoid interaction unless someone can be useful to you.
I still this day today understand, why we dont have integrated damage/healing meter.
It would be amazing to have some sort of TMW/WA integrated as well, but that won't happend(both would increase the skill of players thou, especially if you are LFR hero, not aware of what a damage meter is).
I would love the ability to collect transmog appearances even if my character can't wear it.
Like when you unlock them it's account wide anyways so it doesn't make sense to me I can't collect an appearance just because my priest can't wear plate.
