Jesus, another genius that cannot discern between different users because they have their heads up their ass. I was arguing from the position of established powers vs ones that aren't. Too complicated for you, I take it? NURRRRRR describes this exchange well, I guess. I'll give you that.
And go on, do quote me calling Anduin a Mary Sue you walking pile of of dishonesty. And give an example of casting while silenced being established anywhere. I'll even accept the non-canon RPG.
I gave you a reason why each race supports him as High King. How is that a "for no reason". Where have you been since Cata. They have been building and developing him into the main face of the Alliance. We saw his trials in Pandaria, his compassion towards Baine, the pain he felt when Ironforge almost collapsed due to cata and the revolt.
He has been develped for a LOOONG time.
Right? kinda like the leader of our military is our president who has zero military experience. Kings have always been given final say in military matters, they are the king. His dad died stupid. Also its clearly an aoe heal. A bunch of soilders just went from gravely wounded to just a scratch. And maybe if people had more admiration for the leaders of their countries the world would be a better place? Who chose him? The light? Velen? maybe he was trained by one of top wielders of the light around? If i go to Harvard arnt i more likely to get a better education than if i went to a community college out in the stix?
Underlying logic of casting while he should be silenced has never been established to be internal logic of Warcraft, no. There's also a difference of Sylvanas using her long established abilities on level below of her top performances and Anduin using this type of spell for the first time and yet it being the largest one we've seen so far. It dwarfs the barrier Velen put up in Exodar. So yeah, what he did is not exclusive to him. It's just he's automatically a demi-god of such spells right off the bat.
It's established that banshee scream silences. It's established that Sylvanas' is strong enough to carry across an entire army. It's established she can silence people for more than the 2-3 minutes that passed between her screaming and Anduin casting his spell.
how did you decide that everyone after anduins spell got up on their feet?
He was attacked by an ability that silences spellcasting. I.e. he should have been silenced. And you talk about logic...
But before they started mass ressurecting people since they gained Val'kyr only after Lich King died.
I'm sorry if a discussion of what are established lore effects of abilities is beyond you. Water is wet, more your level?
Sylvanas died three times. She didn't nearly stop an army, she nearly defeaned it. Shattering bones with magic isn't even unique to Banshees. Elves being nimble as hell is a universal trope and not unique to Sylvanas. Being resurrected is not something she did but something others did to her. Try harder.
Anduin is terrible with fighting. He tries to be on the battleground, but obviously, he's getting eaten alive. But if we've learned one thing, it's that Anduin is incredibly powerful with the light. Attacking the horde feels dirty to him. He cannot. But healing his deeply wounded/freshly dead comrades? Believe me, Anduin's will is able of that.

[...] we have an intolerance for ideas and evidence that don’t fit a certain ideology. I’m also not saying that we should restrict people to certain gender roles; I’m advocating for quite the opposite: treat people as individuals, not as just another member of their group (tribalism)..
You weren't watching the cinematic then. You were watching a porn titled "Anduin and the Black DragonFuck". Easy to get mixed up, I know.

POTUS is a military position....Not all military positions are earned through military. You're just obsessed with saying stupid shit aren't you?
Then it was an oversight on Blizzard's part, nothing more. Like I already pointed out, the regular mages weren't affected either and they were closer than Anduin. Your argument that he's OP for being able to cast while silenced doesn't make sense unless they established that she silenced people. All evidence points to the contrary.

Sylvanas has been killed several times before, so it's not impossible to do. Arthas did it with overwhelming power and numbers (aided by her own hubris). Godfrey did it by being a clever son of a bitch (once again aided by her own hubris). It seems that Sylvanas is quite capable of dying, provided the killer registers as more than a drooling retard.
Anduin, on the other hand, is Garrosh 2.0 with a different coat of paint. Stay with me, here. Introduced a while ago, an NPC that features every so often in the story but is by no means central to the plot, suddenly and inexplicably gets elevated to a level of power and prestige beyond reason, but more importantly beyond the players. The next step is to subsequently be ham-fisted into a role that compromises the character, like how they tried really hard to make us like Garrosh in Cataclysm, then admitted defeat and gave up. Now, instead of acting as our conscience (at least for the Alliance) and advocate for peace, Square Peg Anduin is being forced into the Round Hole role of High King. All hail High King Scrappy Doo, inferior to Varian in every way - but he's got a gimmick to sell you, and you probably won't be able to escape it.
MANduin, amirite, guyz?
Yikes. Horde-only peeps really don't like watching their team lose.
I mean, I already pointed out to you that common sense is a fallacy, so I'm not sure why you keep bringing it up. And if Dar'khan got silenced when Sylvanas caught him by surprise while he was focused on someone else, even though he was hooked up on Sunwell power through Anveena, someone without such a power source should be too.
