Battle for Azeroth - Allied Races
Subraces are finally here, officially called Allied Races. Two of them were playable at BlizzCon. Keep in mind this is a demo, not final.

In addition to the races listed below, Zandalari Trolls, Nightborne, Void Elves, and Dark Iron Dwarves are planned.

Highmountain Tauren

• In addition to the regular options, customize facial hair / hair, horn style, horn color.
• Racials:
  
  • Rugged Tenacity - Reduces damage taken by 330
  • Pride of Ironhorn - Mining skill increased by 15 and allows you to mine faster
  • Mountaineer - Increases your Versatility by 1%.
  • Bull Rush - Charges forward for 1 sec, knocking enemies down for 1.5 sec. 2 minute cooldown.
  • Waste Not, Want Not - You have a chance to loot additional meat and fish

Lightforged Draenei

• In addition to the regular options, customize facial hair, tattoo style, and runes.
• In the demo, only has access to Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Priest, Mage.
• Racials:
  
  • Light's Judgement - Call down a strike of Holy energy dealing 5,150 Holy damage to enemies within 5 yards after 3 sec. 40 yd range, 2.5 min cooldown.
  • Forge of Light - Summon a forge of light, enabling Blacksmithing. Blacksmithing skill increased by 10.
  • Demonbane - Experience gains from killing beasts increased by 20%.
  • Holy Resistance - Reduce Holy damage taken by 1%.
  • Final Verdict - When you die the Light avenges you, dealing 1,162 Holy damage to enemies within 8 yards and healing allies for 1,383.

Going by those new racial abilities, I wonder if that means they're reworking them again for the rest considering how much they got gimped in the last two expansions.

Boo! Disappointed! Who the hell asked for Lightforge Draenei? How does Void Elf fit into this if Veressa was the only one? Why are Nightborn even there. Are they not supposed to all be back in Suramar, rebuilding?

This is just unbelivable in the amount of lack of creativity.

I've dreamt of playing zandalari since 5.2, and now it's really happening! I'm overjoyed!

Yeah, my main question is: Will we get more character slots per server? Or will I have to racechange one of my trolls?

In fact, it must be a priestess for RP reasons, and I don't have any more slots left! :O

Simply awesome. No other words to explain how I feel about this.

On the side note Blizzard has apparently been secretive about this one, and even after the release/reveal of information regarding the expansion they still keep most of stuff in the dark, for a reason. Just because this expansion is titled 'Battle for Azeroth', it doesn't mean that Alliance and Horde will munch on each other the entire time. I believe the actual reason behind this war are the old gods using their pawns to create struggles and opportunity to weaken the mighty force that, united, managed to halt the Legion invasion and in the end doom them.

If we recall back to what hints and whispers were pointed towards us, from both Varimathras and that creature in the Emerald Nightmare, we have traitors and servants of the void among our ranks. I have said it numerous times by now since the reveal, and I'll do so again - this is but a proper and perfectly planned groundwork for what's to come. Great expansion and story-telling is ahead of us, though this time Blizzard is really secretive about their approach and for a reason - Void Lords and Old Gods work from the shadows.

That's kind of the point of these new "sub" races. They aren't brand new races just off sets of races already in game. So they will look basically the same as the "main" race they came from except with very slight differences. Like the light forged Draenei can have light tattoos and a rune on their forehead.

Yeah ugly but powerful racials, that must be why Horde are 80% blood elves right?
