He's now accused of grabbing another woman's ass inappropriately while taking a picture. This was allegedly while he was in office.

This accuser has "yearbook" level of evidence, more to the point, told some people including electronically after the incident.
Franken doesn't remember her more or less than any of the "thousands" of pictures he took with his constituents. I'll say this, besides being disappointed in him -- or anyone -- that would do that sort of thing if true, it takes some real balls to grope a woman's butt during a picture taken by her husband.
Do we really need an "ethics committee" to inform our opinion about a guy who can't keep their hands off of women's ass and boobs? I had nothing against Franken prior to this, and I don't necessarily enjoy watching peoples careers crash and burn. I was a big fan of Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K, but my admiration for their work shouldn't inform my opinion of their deeds and character.

I'm rarely surprised when I hear about these types of incidents. Remember that time Taylor Swift was groped by a disk jockey in front of her bodyguard? The issue here is that some people are more prone to impulsiveness than others, especially if they think they can get away with it. If people operated on rationality on a consistent basis, we wouldn't see these types of stories come out.

Damnit Al...

This is one of those things totally at odds with his personality. The picture and stuff fit with Franken's SNL persona so it wasn't such a stretch to imagine, but this is a little more sleazy. Why you gotta do me like this, Al?

This is why identity politics and political correctness is dangerous that the Democrats engage in. Now, it the double edged sword is being turned on Democrats and this will do damage to the Democratic party. Meanwhile the Republicans revel in their mischieviousness..because their base doesn't care about such issues...although Republicans railed against Bill Clinton for a long time.

Bill Clinton is facing explosive new charges of sexual assault from four women, according to highly placed Democratic Party sources and an official who served in both the Clinton and Obama administrations.
This trend of using "identity politics" and "political correctness" as a rallying point against democrats is kind of silly, because if anything, it more points out the significant divide between the party marketing and why Republicans have been fighting an uphill battle for the minority vote. Republicans do as much, if not far more, in the way of "identity politics" as democrats - but they target a different identity, and yes, that identity is the uneducated white voter. What is different and so greatly unappealing about it is that they seem unaware that they are pushing this, or at least hide their awareness of it, making it seem all the more ingrained into their behavior and insulting to those who don't fit that identity.
Meanwhile, their anti-"politically correct" message is also seen for what it is by anyone not of the same side of the debate. Republicans demand political correctness just as much as Democrats, but they demand it from different topics. Namely, they screech about political correct terms regarding other races, religions, and cultures, but screech about incorrect procedure towards the identity they appeal to. In the end, it's mostly "I want the right to be rude to people not like me, but everyone who says anything about people like me is a traitor to this country."
It is perhaps one of the few topics where "both sides are the same" is almost accurate, albeit expressed differently.

LOL!
At this point this is crazy.

Before Trump the Republican party did not push for the white uneducated voters. Bible belt? Sure. Small government libertarians. Sure. Tea Party. Sure. Trump did go out of his way to target the demographic of white uneducated voters. I think all agree on that at this point.
I think political correctness has run its course in politics in the United States or soon enough. Which is good and bad in that issues can actually be addressed. However, it will become a circus till the embers burn out, because at this point the rule of law and justice isn't being respected by having trials by public.
