FINALLY!
I just finished the 2 hour airplane trip from hell.
It was just a simple flight from Copenhagen, Denmark to Trondheim, Norway.
With an unfortunate transit stop at the midway point, in
First, my plane from copenhagen got delayed by a full hour. Then we literally spent another whole hour sitting on the runway waiting for clearance to take off. The captain was rather frustrated. As was I.
When we finally landed in Oslo, apparently there was a bit of a snowstorm going on. With a massive amount of airplanes delayed, and just about no planes going anywhere. Luckily, that included my transit plane, so I didn't miss the transit plane. At least that was what they said as I left the first plane.. but the first thing I found out after leaving the plane was that my transit plane was now cancelled.
Cue me queuing in the worst line ever. 400 passengers from about 30 different flights, all delayed and not sure what was going on, all in line for two poor clerks handling every single rebooking in the entire fricking airport. Couldn't they have sent that kind of information in an SMS or something? What is this, 1985?
Several hours later, I finally got a new boarding pass for a later plane leaving at 8 pm. I was happy. For three minutes. Then that plane was cancelled too. I cursed very loudly in the main area of the Oslo airport at that point in time. This day was not getting any good.
New line of queue (3 more hours!) and I got yet another boarding pass for yet another plane. New plane scheduled to leave around 10 pm. Then delayed to midnight. At some point there were three planes scheduled for the same gate, at three different timeslots, and apparently being the same physical plane. Nobody knew anything, and the line to the information desk was still 3+ hours long.
Luckily for me, there is a hurricane hitting the northern parts of Norway tomorrow. So the airline decided to cancel all the flights going further north than Trondheim, rather than cancel mine. Which meant that I suddenly had a plane _and_ crew to operate it. Fortune looking up! The other two planes at the same gate (all scheduled to the same physical plane) wasn't that lucky, and had to sleep in the airport overnight. (They were supposed to get a free hotel, but again, 3+ hour line and it was already midnight).
So me and my other lucky fellow passengers who did get that plane boarded. And then we spend two hours sitting in the plane, waiting, in the runway. For various random crap. Someone had packaged a living dog in a suitcase. Someone had boarded the wrong plane (how is that even possible!?). The plane hadn't actually left anywhere for the last 6 hours, so it was all frozen up, and the defrosting crew had gone home for the night, leaving one unlucky sod to operate three different defrosting vehicles.
It is now 4 am. I finally got home.
I guess what I am trying to say is, if fortune is supposed to balanced out over time, I have a major casino jackpot waiting for me in this game.
Otherwise - this has to be all Blood Fox' fault.

Geez, words missing annoying.

TLDR: My 2 hour plane trip ended up taking 13 hours due to a snowstorm.
