Adblock rose in direct opposition to the increasing use of annoying and deliberately obstructive advertisements.
Advertisers and websites got greedy and rather than increasing the quality of their ads (to make more people click them) or the quality of their sites (to attract more traffic) they decided to fuck over their consumers and eventually those consumers said "well fuck you too then".

Adblock isn't stealing, it's retaliation to anti-consumer business practices. the sooner said businesses realize this and correct the course, the better for all involved.
