Blood definetly looks to be the one to go for levelling, lots of regen and reminds me a lot of affliction in that respect. I'll probably take a spec very similar to that, but yeah, taking Heart Strike ;p

Im sure blood is the best for leveling. You kill fast and get regen all the time from Blooworms and Scent of Blood (I see movie where DK all the time have over 90% hp without any break for regen).

I have covered all "HP regen" talents accessible at this level on the blood tree as well as Bloodworms which helps the regen.

Ive also added 3 points to Improved Death Coil, as my experience thus far is that my Death Coils are hitting and healin for quite a bit more since I respecced those 3 points to Imp. Death Coil.

My spec now is different as I am a lvl 58 DK, but thats the spec I started out with.

It's pretty much all blood due to the fact you can't really work with splitting trees at lvl 55, making you pretty much full health through out your whole grind to 80. Also maxing your dps/dmg with the amount of talent points available.

At 60

Put 5 pts into Blood Gorged, Dancing Blades isn't really good until you start raiding (from what I read, I'm not a DK expert, this is just my input) Meaning you will always be at 10%+ Dmg since, the talents that I put in max you at 100% health every time you kill something or will put you at 100% once the worms start attacking

At 65

Put 5 Pts into Sudden Doom which your next Death Coil a Crit, this will be buffed later on while you lvl

At 70

Put 3 Pts into Imp Death Coil +Dmg/Healing by 15%
Put 2 Pts into Epidemic which +Duration by 6 secs

At 75

Put 5 Pts into Ravenous Dead 5%+ Str/120second Reduction to Raise Dead

At 80

Respec to Endgame Raiding Spec(My Spec to Max DMG/DPS)

I posted about this spec earlier in the General forums, I've gotten really good feedback on the forums, even some people saying that they're definately going to use it when WotLK hits

Before Necrosis was a 5 pt talent that had a CoH 20/40/60/80/100% to deal 5%+ Shadow Dmg So BEFORE I had 4pts into Necrosis and then put that last pt into Lichbourne

With this spec your Str is increased by 13%, 25%+ Shadow Dmg w/ Hit, 115%+(175% when Crit) Dmg to your Blood Strike

So in short, It owns. Study it, Worship it, Enjoy it

There are some alternative choices I guess for the first tier in the Unholy tree, however I can say with confidence that my blood tree and necrosis in the Unholy tree will be the cookie cutter dps spec.

I think I'll try frost first for leveling. Don't know why, but all the CC and the critical nukes seemed pretty nice for me.

I think you're mistaken. Death Knight's Death Coil does not heal himself, but it can be used to heal undead allies OR dealing damage to anyone.


By the way, I just saw this talent:

Nerves of Cold Steel
Increases your chance to hit with one-handed melee weapons by 3%
and increases the damage done by your offhand weapon by 15%.

I didn't know Death Knights could dual-wield, and if so, does this talent make the Frost Tree a dual-wielding tree? I hope not.

since dk dont use shields they can tank with 2h or duel wield.

thus the reason y that one talent is in frost tree.

I believe they can use all weapons but wands and atm its unsure if they will have relics or rang weapon.
That part has yet to be seen!

Was I ever arguing specs? no. Did I ever claim to make this one first? no. By using the word "my" I meant the talents I put points into, there was no claim to me being the first to make it. Do you honestly think that you yourself was the mastermind behind coming up with a spec that would be good? There were people on the alpha who had these way before we did.

Detective dipshit up there thinks hes the master of all specs, and obviously has some serious problems when he freaks out at something like that, even though *gasp* his end-game wasn't posted yet, only his lvl 55 starter spec was. So take you child-like 12 year old response, and your "my post was first and therefore is better" attitude some where else to people who give a shit.
