    Incanter's Absorption

    Incanter's Absorption

When you absorb damage your spell damage is increased by 15% of the amount absorbed for 10 sec.
These are a few items/spells which can absorb damage:

    PWShield (Priest)
    Frost/Fire ward
    Mana Shield
    Fel Blossom

But my question is, for it to be considered absorbed, does it have to be absorbed by an item/spell?

    OR

Could full or partial resists trigger this spell?

    OR

Could Ice Block or Immunities trigger this spell?

    OR

Could the new Mage Armor trigger this spell?

It looks like only spells/items can only trigger the spell, but i'm just curious if anything else could trigger it.
Hopefully someone from Beta might know.

Afaik absorb and resist are different mechanics. So it will be mostly for Mana Shield/Wards. Guess a PvPish talent where you get extra spellpower for using mana shield or something like that.

Don't forget about the new Shatter Shield Mages get at level 80. It holds a good 2000 damage (that is without scaling with spellpower, as far as I know), so it'll come in handy along with this talent.

Plus, if you meet someone in PvP who crits you for, say, 3000 damage, you'll gain a whooping 450 more spell damage for 10 seconds. Or you might choose to use it in instances, or outside, of course. Either way, once you get to level 80, it's full usefulness shows.
