sorry I can't seem to be able to find topics regarding this. Just some question regarding down-ranking spells cost same mana.

Would you still use rank 1 frostbolt (to slow mofo melees and hoping for frostbite proc)? rank 1 blizz (to find rogue/druid)? rank 1 arcane explosion (to find rogue/druid)???

You can use it but it just costs same as highest rank.

It actually costs more to use a rank 1 spell compared to like a rank 13. I think making it costs more to downrank is stupid.

Rocket boots.
Chain Heroism in raids come wrath.
Chain drums in wrath.
Potting in wrath.
Nerfing the ability to get the ghost wolf pet.
Downranking.

No, what it means is that people who are smart will use them. People who are smart will use everything to their advantage to get what they need accomplished.

I'll say one thing: You should have tried playing a Mage in TBC.

Depends on the fight, but in general melee has ridiculous synergy that most ranged does not. And Hunters and Locks are pretty freaking high up there in damage.
