Ret Pallys have been robbed

The new changes have simplified this spec to really hunter lvl. The skills needed to make a defensive class viable as DPS has been childproofed. I've read the reasons so say what you want. No more will it be an achievement to become a viable ret pally.

Let me get this str8,

First, retadins complain that their tree is broken and that nobody will bring them to raids because it is too difficult to do comparable dps.

THEN, when blizzard buffs you and makes it easier for you to hold your own in raids, you complain that it is now too easy for retadins to get into raids?

pve is only hard when you have to get 25 people together and get them to do the right things at the right time.

I mean its scripted and doesn't change out of set parameters

Following a guide isn't the hard part is getting people with an IQ above 60 to stay together till you get there. Wow is a broken game now that doesn't require much skill anymore. Hell... high end arenas get harder because different teams have different strats so you can't just follow a guide to 2200. If you want to do something that requires skill go play an instrument not video games. Especially mmos...

Most guides for pvp are outdated using old specs like the HARP build for rogues. Good arena teams break those strats to win.

The number of people who dont pay attention..get stuck in the button mashing focus of the moment or something..is just amazing. Dont move during flame wreath..and yet people move and raid wipes. So stupid.

Or like last week, I get in a pug to do Kara for badges and we get to netherspite.

They had the beam rotations listed..it was talked about in vent who would get in to what beam and when. Somehow some idiot didnt get in one of the beams and Netherspite goes from 25% back to 70%. I mean really...its not that hard to angle your camera off to the side and see where the beam will start and to line up correctly. But for a lot of people stuff like that is hard and I dont know why.

Let's think about skill for ret pallies on live:

PvE: Two button mash, gets upgraded to 3 button mash in Wrath, your job just got harder.

PvP: HoJ stunning clothies in mooncloth or some other no resil gear and then pressing the above 2 buttons. In Wrath you get 3.

You were bitching about it being to easy. That is what the instrument was toward. Go stand behind a 100 foot tall boss with 100x more health than you and spam buttons. If you don't like it play a different game. WoW doesn't have a wow factor. Sad you haven't realized that in almost four years.

It takes skill to play a Ret Pally. If you have never played one, you have no right to say I'm wrong about it.

I have played 3 classes to 70 and a few others to 30-40ish.

With Ret you have a few more "combo" situations, judgement timing, GCD awareness, PPM and RNG considerations based on swing timers. You have to stay in melee range, remove snares, remain mobile, reduce your opponent to 100% speed so your 115% closes the gap (lol).

There is a ton more coordination than a lot of classes.

I haven't played Beta or PTR but from what I have heard and from what the OP is saying, it seems like you can be a little more of a face roller now with Ret.

So in the past when we said "Hey, our class takes skill Mr. Warlock smash face into keyboard fear and Dotter!" Now we (seem to be) almost as bad?
