Lightweave Embroidery & DOTs

My main Character is a warlcok and a tailor, so i was happy to hear about the self only cloak enchants
BUT its a little confuseing as to exactly how the Lightweave Embroidery will works with DOTs

what im Hopeing is it gives you the chance to proc that effect (1200 Holy damage when you damage an enemy with a spell) on each tick of your DOTs. Might be a little OP but i can always hope

what im afraid of is that it wont consider DOT ticks as "damaging an enemy with a spell"

i would apperciate it if someone who is in the beta or someone who knows about how all this would work, would give me some answers

it appears that the general concensus is that there is an in built 45sec CD. Could be wrong but nothing else i can go on.

As for each DoT tick yes the 50% would apply but with inbulit CD

45sec cooldown blows.... way to screw tailors in wotlk blizzard i guess this is payback for having a craftable t5 3 piece set in TBC

That's so shitty. Why do they always make it 45s? Why not something more reasonable like 20s...?

because it will be overpowered specially since the amount of dots a warlock will drop will trigger it every 20 seconds.

think of it though, 1000 damage every 45 seconds, is not bad, id you'd think, that enchants for spell damage for other profs are what? 70 ish? after a coef of say, 70%, 40 damage and say a 2.5 second cast spell, non stop, gives you 720 damage, i don't think thats too shabby.

also, are there any other cloak enchants that boost dps? cause like the lw bracer enchants aren't that hot after you realize that there's already an enchant thats 1/3 as strong. some profs have it *way* better (jc, inscription, alchemy).

doesn't seem too bad to me imho.

If you look at it from a PVP point of view it is actually pretty epic. Though you cant use it when you choose, like activate it, which sorta sucks, but it makes for great burst none the less. Its supposedly able to crit too, good arena enchant in my book.

anyways read the changes for 3.1, it will be 250 spell dmg orso.

no really... Let me find the post that had that information...

as of right now I guess they're not going through with that change on PTR.
