Are heroics to easy? Are we overgeared? BC nerf ruin Wotlk challenge?

Okay So I hear all this stuff about the raids being to easy, but then again that 25thof november guild had all the experience and gear. well thats raids. but enough about that XD

what about heroics? the dungeons that everyone had acces to, I believe 99% of the players did heroics Pre-WoTLK.
And what i can remember they where pretty challenging when you just hit 70. nowadays people plow through them easy peasy am i right? (true, they where easy when you where all geared up eventually
Should these be truly Heroic? or should another difficulty be added? cause I see people hit 80 and almost do heroic instantly in shitty greens and not having a problem whatsoever.

maybe you should know that heroics were nerfed shortly after BC and newly added heroics in WoTLK share same standards as nerfed ones in BC.

It is not my problem that someone rush to 80 in 2 days, clears all content and then cryes that they have nothing to do. I think heroics are fine, I was doing them prenerf, I was doing them afternerf and if someone enjoys 7h wipefest in heroic (aka post on Ensidia ) then that person is not mentaly ok or better is masochyst.

I did almost all Wotlk heroics by now and I definitly dont think that some are doable in shitty greens, we have problems with T6/Sunwell/some 10 man Naxx gear or better - I dont think that people in shitty greens will be able to do that without a lot of wiping.

EDIT: Afternerf in BC I was running heroics on my priest since level 66 so I dont think it was hard :>

i dont think there is too much diffrense on tbc and wotlk heroic tbh but if u compare from classic to tbc and tbc to wotlk we now dont have near the same upgrades as from classic to tbc.. when tbc hit not many ppl used a single lvl 60 epix in kara and now the gear from tbc and wotlk aint that bigger upgrades so u can easy use same gear and still pwn so what i see as the problem is that the gear aint enoth improved so it feel like its 100 times easier than last expansion.

the only heroic i got challenger in was a HoL - loken encounter. he's aoe seems a bit overranged for 2,5 sec cast
the rest was a piece of cake, even with my blue/green/2 epic gear..
and i didnt had overgeared people in groups - mostly questgeared. :

so yeh, for now pve non-raid content seems too easy to me :-\

I remember I used to faceroll through TBC instances, so I actually thought of doing the same with WotLK but that didn't work out. As a tank most of my avoidance was gone and I had to seriously look for some upgrades here and there.

It was a bit challenging but as soon as I began to reach slightly normal value's again heroics became easy again.

Yeah tis abit tricky to deal with but after a few wipes its doable

Heroics are pretty damn easy atm been running them for a week now in a PUG, i wish they'd create a new difficulty level ( with better loot obviously ) just to provide more of a challenge to those who steamroll through the current heroics.

About 30 minutes after I dinged 80 I ran a HC HoL.. We were all new to it (none had tried it on normal either), but the only thing we had trouble with was Loken, his nasty attacks hit for ~6k, and because I weren't def capped he crit for about twice that amount.

So far I've only been in 1 fail grp, which was in a HC Oculus, last boss ofc since some people apparently doesn't know how handle the drakes.


But overall I'm quite happy with the HCs, they pose a challenge at some encounters, and are really easy at others.

Loken is basically a Retard Check.

Many of the runs I've done (going all the way back to beta) have resulted in an initial wipe because people don't understand the encounter at first, usually followed by an achievement-earning one-shot (depending on the DPS).

you want challengin heroics? do it in 4 man or hell, there are alot fo heroic achievements, some of them pretty easy, but some of them also pretty hard, even for geared group

Technically can't casual players see the same instance on non heroic while still leaving a challenge for players that seek one. If you think heroics are just fine wait a few weeks when you're not in gear ten levels old and can read a magazine article while face rolling through them.

Yeah deffinetly makes fights more difficult. Most of the ones I've gotten have been due to doing a fight perfectly, or completely screwing a fight up and having to manage as best we could.

100% correct.

This is how it's SUPPOSED to be like and Blizzard specifically stated that heroics were for players who had farmed high level (enchanted and socketed) blues from high level instances, but heroics are so easy that they can be cleared in blues and greens, making lvl80 normal instances totally redundant.

Most heroics are quite easy, you still have to be on your toes, but its not like the heroics in early BC. I dont mind at all , the challenge ramps up significantly if you try to do the achievements. So everyone wins really.

Depends on your play style and how dilligent you've been gear wise, I guess...
The heroics are just fine in my opinion, but if you really want a challenge, try Naked clearing or Drunken Dungeon Crawl...
