Coming from a server where my faction is terribly outnumbered, Alexstraza, Horde has trouble putting together a 5 group raid in WG, much less a full raid. We routinely see buff stacks 8+, if not in the teens. What does that mean for us? Well, even if we can group up and ram in with 5-6 siege vehicles, a handful of demolishers, and the rest of the group catapults, we still get maybe one or two hits on the keep door before we've all be utterly annihilated by the deluge of aoe and random spam from wading through upwards of 100 allies. You just can't fight against numbers like that when all you've got is tenacity. Above, the 20 vs 5 with a healer comment was made. I assure you, if all 20 of you had focused on that healer right from the start, like you should have done, you would have downed them like nothing. Stuns, interrupts, a few DK grips, and the healer is toast. The rest is easy from there. But tenacity wasn't meant to be an individual fight buff; rather, it's a BATTLEGROUND buff, designed to equalize an entire war over the zone, not individual skirmishes. Sure, when I'm 10 stacked, even as a holy pally, I can take down a single feral druid (assuming he doesn't turn tail and run, like they often do). But put 30 versus 100, as my realm so often is, and horde gets our asses handed to us on a consistent basis. Tenacity is broken, yes: it needs MORE power. Yes, that forces the majority team to coordinate better. Q fucking Q, you have numerical superiority, you already have the advantage. We actually did play one mid-day WG, ONE since wrath launched (and I play at least 2 every day, mid-day, without fail), where Horde managed to be the majority. With some coordination and good communication, we stopped the allies from taking the keep, and they were 3 stacked most of the game. Pretty simple when you work together. The tenacity nerf is a terrible idea, and will pretty much seal the fate of anyone who plays on an outnumbered server like Alex and is on the short side of the stick. GG Blizz, GG.
