So if I get hit for 5000 and block 2000 of it then I avoided 5000 damage? END OF STORY AM I RITE?Originally Posted by Zerak
Block counts as effective health, not avoidance, you're an idiot.

Healers will love you if you take 5k damage every second rather than 15k every 5 to 10 seconds with a chance of two back to back!
I have 32k hp unbuffed at 55% avoidance with 1300 block value, 5% hit, and 7% expertise (useless)
Not so hard to reach those stats.Originally Posted by Vorteks

I posted this in december, almost 4 months ago!! Stop posting, everyone including myself has over 30k hp now, its not a big deal.
Somebody lock this or something.

On the contrary, I think it's interesting to see what the norm is now. When this thread was created, the world first kills were just happening. Now that everyone and their mother has seen KT/Malygoes/Sarth and farmed them for a good few months we know what the highest obtainable numbers are.Originally Posted by Vorteks
If I were to put on the "MT" set, I'd have 55% avoidance and 30k health. My gimmick stam set goes higher but there are very few encounters were stacking stamina pays off.
how are you guys working our avoidance?
on my warrior i have:
~31% block
~20% dodge
~20% parry
does that mean i have ~71% avoidance?
About this avoidance, isn't it calculated somehow like this:
Dodge% + Parry% / 2 = Avoidance
So magehater's avoidance here would be 20%+20%/2 = 20% right?
And yes, almost everyone has 30k unbuffed HP these days.
Avoidance is Dodge% + Parry% + Miss% from defense (Mouse over your def. to see your chance to be missed from it) +5% chance all bosses have to miss. Assuming he's def. capped, which would give 5.6% chance to be missed, he'd be at 20% parry +20% dodge +5% boss miss chance +5.6% from def, 50.6%.Originally Posted by Haodin
