What does this guy know that others do not?
in before the "he learned to play"
oddly enough his 3vs 3 team is a holy paladin a beastmaster hunter and himself, a destruction warlock
not really classes that everybody is screaming imba about
I have to hand it to him though. He is the one and ONLY warlock in the top 100. And hes sitting in the top 3.
What I find odd is that he only has a 70% avg win %. Thats all you need to break 2k these days? Props to him for the achievment, he is specced demo and is probably the bait. My guess is the Paly beacons him and spams when they target him while he goes demon form, the hunter is the real threat everyone overlooks and he picks off the opposition. He also has almost full s5 gear, another accomplishment that boggles my mind considering the short duration the season has been out.
He got really lucky on the Archavon'sOriginally Posted by rodobson

he is not the only lock in the top 100, brayzee is as well
his 3s team involves him being bait, his holy palla spamming FoL and their hunter bashing one out in the corner while his pet kills everything. What does he know that everyone else doesnt? not much tbh, his spec doesnt have a high skillcap and he is well geared, this being said he IS a very good warlock but there are lots of better locks out there.
yeh um no? BM hunters and holy pallas (especially the pallas) are very fotmnot really classes that everybody is screaming imba about
[just an imformative post not a slant at this guy as i admit he is a better lock than me (most probaly lolol)]
s4 gladiator - 2v2(lock/dodo) and 3v3(shadowplay)
s5 gladiator - 2v2 (disc/rogue) and 3v3(rmp)
s6 gladiator - 2v2 (disc/hunter) INCOMING!!
This. everyone is like lolol he is a lock they die fast and hunter has all open field to kill the enemy team. Also the fact it's on the reckoning bg but hey gratz anyways.he is specced demo and is probably the bait. My guess is the Paly beacons him and spams when they target him while he goes demon form, the hunter is the real threat everyone overlooks and he picks off the opposition.

He's Demo spec. He has 51 in demo. He mas Metamorph.Except for the fact yknow.. that demon form is a 51 point Demonology talent
Bad troll is beyond bad.
I assume Turboneko confused demo and destro.
Uck is a really great constructive sharer in the warlock forums. You can learn a lot reading his stuff. It's good to see someone can be one of the best without it getting all to his head and having to act like an elitist prick like so many others do.
Taking a warlock in it's current state and being 3rd highest ranked in the world might just be the most impressive thing I've seen in all of WoW.
is this what we call "skill" in today's culture?Originally Posted by Ofmanv

but, since when was being a punching bag -something to be respected and looked highly upon in arena?
Maybe since he was wise enough to say "Hey, people think warlocks are so easy to kill. If I act as bait while the bads try to focus me down we can win... a lot". It's not always about who has the best weapons or the largest army. Sometimes it's about playing the enemy against themselves.
all I got to say is that must be a really skilled ret pally
Interesting how you reference culture with WoW, as for being a punching bag, you're assuming thats how his team won all the games by using him to be bait, however none of us really know how they won their matches. Besides if im not mistaken many of the warlock complaints are about survivability, apparently this lock manages to do quite well, cause even if hes being baited, hes obviously not getting 1 shotted, otherwise his role would be meaningless anyways.Originally Posted by Jashin

maybe it's just the 5 years of military officer in me that does not equate strategy with skill but with execution.Originally Posted by Meeza

now, if standing around in one place is the execution and you pull it off flawlessly/effortlessly -it says nothing about the skill and everything about the strategy.
you're right, I don't know what the plan was. given Warlocks' current state -I'd say it's pretty limited.
this doesn't mean I'm impressed, it means I'm reserved and perturbed by those that are with such little to go on.
Because being a punching bag for a class implies a having to overcome an inherant disadvantage. How is a warlock getting to 3rd highest ranked in the world given it's current gimped state not impressive compared to some handicapped class like rogue doing it?Originally Posted by Jashin
a spammable fear and a dedicated healer should be enough to keep the warlock alive while the hunter massacres the opposites team. with this said, it does take a lot of skill to overcome teams like restosham-retridin-dk, which means that leaving the setup aside, this warlock's team is very experienced and skilled in 3v3 arena.
