    weapon choice

I want opinions on these two weapons.

I gain a little more damage and a couple of percent crit with the sword over the TS, but I have more AP and str. with the destroyer, but I lose a couple of percent crit. My crit goes from like 33 to 30ish with the TS destroyer. I am hit capped.

    Re: weapon choice

i personally prefer the titansteel destroyer simply because it has so much strength on it, which means that i also benefits from +SR talents.

i would hold onto titansteel until you can get armageddon or another 2hander with SR on it...silly hunter weapons

The thing that keeps me form that is the fact that it shows I have more base damage with the sword and the crit is nice too...

Apart from Divine Strength, which talent benisfits from high strength?

    BoK

    Re: weapon choice

True but when I buff BoK my AP is less, and so is my damage. Hence my dps would be lower so I buff Imm BoM

    Vague question.

Buff might on yourself, it's better. better to have both.

Also, titansteel destroyer isn't a great weapon. It's fine for starting out, but the Blue quality "sword of justice" from halls of stone is a bit better.

Kings is he only aid for strength besides the divine strength talent. However there's nothing wrong with AP, strength is just usually better on an item.

    ______

If i had to pick between the claymore of ancient power and the crafted mace I'd go with the claymore.

However once raid buffed the Sword of Justice will still be better.

Just how it is. The Sword of Justice is slow, thus having higher weapon damage which your abilities all scale off of.

    Re: weapon choice

ill give you guys an example

deaths bite is worse than black ice for a ret pally. i know this for a fact because i have both and my dps went up by about 100 with black ice. attack power dosnt mean everything for a ret paladin so it should be the second thing you look for in a wepon.

the first thing you should look for as a ret paladin is top end wepon damage. as a rule of thumb 150 ap for a ret is 50 top end damage ( from in game testing i have done ) so ill give you an example

if a wepon gives the fallowing stats ( just ap and wepon damage for the purposes of this post )

900 damage top end and 300 ap

960 damage top end and 150 ap

now this is about as simple as it gets. the bottom wepon ( 960 damage ) is better by 10 damage over the 900 damage wepon. however if the bottom wepon ( the 960 ) was to have 940 it would be worse by 10.

now as a ret paladin you are going for top end wepon damage. thats why i replaced deahts bite with black ice and i ganed 40 ish top end damage. this means i will hit 40 more on hits and 80 on crits. it may not seem like much but with 2 of my attacks having damage multipliers it makes a diffrence of 50-100 dps for me.

i would give an armory link however it is down as of now lol.
