    Dummy Pitbull frame?

just wondering if it is possible to have a target UF always showing, and then just fill in the info whenever im targeting something? dont like my UI to be lopsided and this would be great if I could do it

Sadly, there's no way to do this, minotaurz.

you could always use combatfader, it'll hide your unit frames until you're in combat - might not be so great if you're a healer though.

He doesn't want to hide anything. He wants to always have the Target Frame showing, even when he doesn't have a target, to make his UI look balanced.

solution: make a separte panel using kgpanels or eepanels or anyother.
the empty panel will look exactly like an empty target frame.

the empty panel will have a lower strata value and thus be covered by the target frame when it appears.

For balance, put one over your player frame, too, and script it so that when you're in combat, it's transparent. Or use the script to change the alpha on your Player frame. Or the strata of either, that would work too.
