Quick question regarding resilience in pve.

    Hello there.

I've been playing as dps and healer for the last 4 or so years, and now i want to try out the tanking side of things.

According to Be.imba the small amount of resilience my dk has is factored in to my crit-immunity wich leaves me at 6.01% chance to not get hit/critted. Without the resilience im at a measly 5.12%

so, my question is simply this: is there any truth behind this at all or am i just embarrasing myself here?

Resilience does reduce the chance to be not crit. It does not reduce the chance to be hit like defense does though. So if one was to use resil to fill the void to be "uncrittible" then avoidance is lost (in comparison to defense.), but still a crit from a boss cannot land.

I would recommend you getting to the defense cap without resilience. Defense is needed for other stats that resilience cannot offer (dodge, etc).

Yah, defense is vastly better since it offers other tank stats as well, but if you just can't get to the anti crit cap currently without throwing a pc of resilience gear on, it'll do until you upgrade it.
