Depends on his swing timer rly, 25 isn't that much, and 40k frost will be down to 30ish by the time is land prolly.

I hope they keep it hard and makes guilds think about it. I'm actually enjoying the video and watching them wipe and wipe. The only problem is that if it releases hard, ppl will QQ about it, which is really a no-win situation for Blizzard.

Oh, I could see the resist stacking, the frost resist gear is cheap to make and easy to get so a resist set is perfectly acceptable.

Well.. I think this will probably keep the Epeen Hardcore players busy for at least a month.

    Looks pretty difficult.

Why exactly do you care? I know plenty of WoW players who've never heard of MMO-Champion, yet you're here. So that makes you a nerd aswell?

But 25K normal melee. I'm wondering how we're supposed to counter it.
I wonder if the gear that we tanks get, prior, leading up to Hard-Mode Hodir will give us more health in order to combat this. I mean, already, in Naxx gear most tanks have at least 40k fully buffed health and 20%dodge/parry/block. At least. Obviously the gear we get from Ulduar will have to increase that, unless they nerf our natural base stats stats (like what happens when you level) but I doubt that. Ergo, I suppose we could maybe expect at the end of Ulduar something like at least 50k unbuffed health and at least 23-25% of each mitigation/avoidance (speaking for Pally/Warriors only).

Re: Glory of the Raider, Ulduar Testing

Perhaps the carrots have finally gone to my head, but from the streams, it would seem that the tacs would be something like this...

Let's say the setup would look something like this:

    o---o---o---o---o---o---o---o Adds

    ------------ Hodir ------------

    1. cluster the ranged DPS around a couple of the adds

    o---o---x---x---o---o---o---o Adds and DPS

    ------------ Hodir ------------

    2. if one group is about to be hit by a falling icicle, move the whole group A across from the group B

    o---o---a---b---o---o---o---o Adds (o) DPS (a, b)

    o---o---X---b---a---o---o---o Adds (o) DPS (a, b) fallen icicle (X)

    3. if the group a is hit by the freezing attack, which can be cured by freeing an add, dps from group b do it just then

    4. however, if Hodir kills the add, or the falling icicles kill the add, there will be trouble, so after the add has freed the group, the group moves the target away from the freed add by jumping across...

    o---o---a---b---o---o---o---o Adds (o) DPS (a, b)

    o---o---O---b---a---o---o---o Adds (o) Freed adds (O) DPS (a, b)

    5. rinse and repeat?

Looking at their post history they're just another douchebag; nearly every post is insulting someone in one fashion or another. /ignore.

Amusingly one of their posts contains "Whys everyone so quick to judge someone else? Do you think that because someone raids alot they cannot have a social life?".

Re: Glory of the Raider, Ulduar Testing

    Q) Will there be testing available on Oceanic, Korean, or other time zones?
    A) There will be some testing available. We do plan on allowing for extended testing on Flame Leviathan, and possibly other bosses. We want encounter designers to be present during testing, which makes testing during some time zones difficult.
well atleast there is hope for all us in aus

Well, you could get the Amani War Bear out of Zul'Aman while wearing Tier 6 gear. They didn't remove the Amani War Bear when they introduced Sunwell, either. I know, sunwell was still T6, but still...

I do not agree. At least on my server there are regular PUG Raids on Naxx-25, so the 25-equip is accessible to anyone. At least far more accessible than BT/Hyjal Loot at TBC.

So 10-man-guilds could equip their people in PUG Raids and than do Sarth+3. Agreed it is not easy. Admitted, my own guild did not yet manage to do it (we did 25 man version only).
Somebody got a Dark Intent and a Focus Magic for Tarecgosa and me? ;-)

It's logical not to give drakes for the glory achievements, still sad, I wanted one :P

I'm going to assume not breaking any of the adds out of the ice blocks is either the "hard mode" for Hodir or at least an achievement (new Glory of the Raider requirement?).

Nonsense. A warrior with 40k buffed today must have no other gems/enchants than stamina, which would make them a sandsack with almost no avoidance. I own full T7.5, most of the red tanking set and a bunch of different cloaks, rings, trinkets and with EH Equipment I have ~37k buffed. And 50k unbuffed is way to much, even for droods which hit ~41k unbuffed at the moment, even with polarset and so on.
And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
    On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
    And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
    Shall be lifted - nevermore!
